Vesper Totem : Summon a totem at the target location for 12 sec that grants 20% Mastery to the closest ally within 8 yds. The totem prefers to empower you if you are within range.
Instant, 1 min cooldown, 40yd range
Does anyone know if this is all 3 shaman specs for our Bastion Convanant ability? I play all 3 specs and this couldn’t be worse for elemental or enhancement. What a silly ability.
The 8 yd range is pretty small too outside of anything but Raiding.
I gotta say, I feel like Blizzard misses the mark with shamans.
No one knows more than that at this point, obviously. I must say I don’t really like this totem. Part of the reason is that mastery is worst stat except maybe resto, although that might not be the case next expac.
But the mechanics of it look very restrictive. Supposedly you can use it to buff someone else, but how would you use it practically? Yell “everyone run away from x player so as to not steal the buff from them”? Doesn’t sound very practical.
I’m not convinced this will remain, but if it does every shaman will just use it for themselves for ease of use.
Just looking at the other healer specs and we got totally shafted.
Monks 15% mastery, essence font cd reset and bonus healing at the start of the cast and end of the cast to all nearby allies.
Paladins holy shock the entire raid
Priests can instantly cast 4-5 spells
Druids 20% int and 4 clearcasting procs
I mean all of this can change, of course, but it’s not the first time that shaman start out at the bottom. I doubt it changes enough to put shaman on top for once.
Hopefully the other covenants are more shaman friendly.
Because having the best abilities doesn’t translate to m+ or mythic raiding at all, right?
You go right ahead and pick the worst things because they look cool, no one’s stopping you. I just don’t want shaman to start at the bottom of the heap again next expansion.
this really comes down to what kinda player you are. I wouldnt say its basic. I can see it not really mattering if you battle pet. BUT if you raid, mythic+ or pvp and the abilities work in all those… picking whats gonna be better for your endgame is def a good reason to pick it.
o i’m not picking a covenant based off of one thing. Like i said that’s basic. I want to know EVERYTHING each has to offer and then pick from there. I really would like to factor everything into my choice.
Exactly but stating that’s something is bad just cause when we don’t even know how its going to be in even a week and then stating that your picking based off that is indeed basic i would say.
Im not getting into a debate with you. You dont run mythics, you dont run raids and you dont pvp. which is all cool. We are clearly on to different sides of the fence here. Warcraft tailors to lots of different people. BUT I for one and all people I interact with will def take the ability into account.
Also I was stating the ability was bad cause as of right now for enh and elemental it is bad. It really is that clear. will mastery pull ahead of haste in shadowlands will mastery proc stormstrikes and windfurys more then just straight up attack speed… maybe… will mastery be stronger on elemental then crit and vers… maybe… but right now playing into your crit damage is better. I dont know what is in shadowlands but I wanna get the conversation started
like i stated, i plan on taking everything into account. I just think mix/maxing is boring and basic. You get new meta from trying and using new things.
