Very very frequent disconnects

Hi, since last night I’ve noticed such frequent disconnects that I can not even enter the game. If I sit watching the Battle.net app it will go offline in no more than 5 seconds but will reconnect again straight after. Tried bypassing the app and logging in directly through the game, gets disconnected before I have a chance to enter authentication code. Even the companion app gets disconnected seconds after I log in.

Hey there,

This sounds like a wifi / router / ISP issue if everything is disconnecting that frequently. Can you try loading the companion app with mobile data (assuming you were using your home wifi previously) to see if that stays connected?

Try resetting the network devices if you haven’t already, and if it’s still happening run a WinMTR to 103.4.115.248

  1. Download WinMTR
  2. Right-click on the downloaded .zip folder and select “Extract All”, to extract the files to a new folder.
  3. Open the new folder that was created, then open the WinMTR_x64 folder.
  4. Right-click on the WinMTR application and select “Run as administrator”.
  5. Type the IP address 103.4.115.248 in the “Host” field.
  6. Click on “Start” and then launch the game. Allow the test to run for at least 10 minutes. Click on “Stop” when you’re done playing after you have experienced the latency or connection issue.
  7. Click on “Copy Text to Clipboard”, paste the results here, then highlight everything and hit the </> button in the posting section so it will allow links.
Unfortunately attempting to reset network devices did not work, here is the WinMTR data.

Howdy Nephanis,

Could you try testing another network like a mobile hotspot or a free VPN temporarily to see if there’s any change?

Hi Zenlaka, it’s very early here I just woke up. It seems the issue was fixed overnight, possibly during maintenance. I’ve been in the game and playing for 10 minutes now, a bit longer than my previous record of 5 seconds. Fingers crossed it stays this way. Thank you both Jambrix and Zenlaka for showing an interest in my predicament.
