Very Tiny Rant

That quest in Hallowfall, where Anduin and Alleria expect you to be the one to buy them the round of drinks while they sit in their chairs lol. I’ve been through this quest at least 3 times already, and my reaction is always the same… It’s like, really? Of all the times we have saved Azeroth from some world ending threat, they should be the one serving US lol. Okay, rant over.

They know exactly how much we’ve made off of killing 10 kobolds and collecting candles and selling them to the merchants in Elwynn Forest…

It’d be rude to let the poor ones buy the rounds.

They know how much practice you had in the founding of Belʻameth. You are a good waiter and donʻt expect tips.

I assume the intent is to involve the player character instead of just having us lingering there like a weird third wheel staring at them.

I don’t really care about the legistics of it. It’s just kinda amusing

The worst part is they don’t even finish their drinks!

i like how anduin was sadly staring down in his but i didnt even get it yet lol
dude must’ve really needed a drink. drunk anduin inc.

Doesn’t the quest pay you back in gold? :robot::thought_balloon:

Not only that, they sat around a table and waited for you to show up to buy their drinks.

They are what I would consider trash friends irl

Three royalty walk into a bar with a fox… and make the fox pay.

NPCs in WoW can barely do anything for themselves. “Adventurer! Please help! I’ve taken a dump in my pants! Can you please remove them, wipe me off, and launder them for me? I’ll pay you gold!”

I mean, this is what bothers me the most about that scene. We don’t even get to sit down to drink it and chat. As soon as they have their drinks, it’s time to go again.

I mean people IRL are no different…go back to medieval times and you literally had people whose job (and life) was about serving royalty and wiping their arses.

And make no mistake, if things went the way of certain groups, we’d find ourselves back in those days. All it would take is the power and means of literal life and death to be in the hands of a literal few with no powers or protections to the masses.

Its just to give the player something to do during all the talky bits if you don’t wanna just sit there the whole time. It’s not that deep.

The writers are never hesitant to let us know where we really stand: We’re grunts and lackeys, doing fetch quests for the REAL heroes.
