This is the first time I haven’t had queues on release. There is some occasional lag, but not bad. So far, it’s the smoothest launch I’ve experienced. Kudos to your tech guys! I’m often critical of Blizzard, but your tech department really stepped up to the plate on this one!

Honestly really surprised how good the launch has been. My friends and I play on a Full server but we haven’t had any problems logging in or playing the game since it dropped. Am level 53 and I think I’m nearing the end of Bastion.

i’m on a high pop and constant lag and dcing. then takes 30 mins to get back into the game only to play for 10-20 mins and dc again.

Sorry to hear about that. I haven’t had any of that. No disconnects at all. Some loot lag. Some quest lag. One resource problem, and once death caused by AAP cancelling out a cut scene and me falling to my death.
But that was it. I’ve been online for every expansion except BfA, and none of them have come close to this stability for me. Sorry to hear you’re having problems.

Countless threads on the front page from people discussing their issues.

I’m just suffering on area 52
Crazy. I’m on Sargeras and Tichondrius (not exactly low-pop). Logged right in on both, and haven’t been DC’d once. the loading screen was a little slow (30 seconds), but that was it. Seems like it’s isolated to a few servers then.

Spend some time looking at the threads posted for a bit.
I’m on a full server, and had the smoothest launch of my life! Got disconnected once or twice but quickly got back in. No lag. No overcrowding; sharding seems to be taking care of that problem. 
There was one quest bug but abandoning it and picking it up again seemed to fix the issue. I’m so happy! I’m going to play all day tomorrow.

I’ve somehow been able to Get in 2 times. And got dcd within 20 mins of playing. Still trying and the expansion released 5 hrs ago.
I was logged in before SL launched, and it has been smooth throughout the night. I’m on Moonguard if that helps at all, and I haven’t a clue if it is difficult to get in or not. I haven’t noticed any lag at all so far.

Area 52 is nearly unplayable
Yup, Stormrage as well and this has been my experience. It took me 4 hours to get logged in at all, then d/c after 30 mins. Now can’t get back in again, “This character name already exists” error, so apparently it didn’t log me out when it d/c’d me. Absolutely awful experience, had no problem on BFA launch.
Same with Stormrage! Still never gonna leave the server though.

But grats being someone actually able to play. But objectively if entire servers can’t play I don’t see how anyone but a troll could say this was smooth lol.
Between 2:15 and ~2:40 I had the issue where I had to try a couple times to get my character to load, or to zone into SW but once I was there and in SW (well before launch time), it was fine. Not super laggy. Quest popped up, I headed to the Maw, been questing since and it’s fine. The only other expansion I started playing the minute it dropped was TBC and this is WAY better than that, for sure!
Honestly, this has been smoother so far than most major patch days.
Thrall here, everything pretty much went perfect aside from some “Character Doesn’t Exist” shenanigans at first.

Dawnbringer server, had a partial black screen at launch on the character screen for about 30 seconds maybe, then everything popped up. Logged in and played for about 4 and a half hours, no lag or disconnects. I feel very bad for those having issues, hopefully it gets better for those, but I really can’t complain at all, thankfully.
Guess you haven’t gotten to Ardenweald yet.
