Very little reason to login everyday in DF

There is very little reason to login everyday in DF. Despite the issue with BFA and SL. I did login in everyday to do my callings and mission tables. I did way more profession stuff in BFA and SL.

I was hoping that the profession revamp would keep me engage. I find the profession revamp to be a major miss.

One of the issue with the profession system is the lack of daily consumables on the work order system. Its mostly gear and one time drake customization. There needs to be daily consumables that are public work order only. Don’t mind people using private work orders for gear but there needs to be more public work orders.

Eww mission tables. Thank the Light they are gone. Will NEVER miss that. My only issue with the profession system is that I never see the recipes for enchanting/tailor. I, however, do fish up plenty of engineering and inscription recipes. snarky smile

This expansion makes WoD look like it was overflowing with content

I’ll be honest, I like it this way. I can take a break for a few days come back and maybe do some dungeons and other misc things.

I can level an alt if I want to. It feels very “you don’t have to grind unless you find something you want to focus on” and I like that.

I do agree that public orders need overhauled.

Eh… I kinda miss the truck loads of free gold my alt army could snatch with little effort.

But yeah, I’m happier without all that stuff to worry about. It feels more like old WoW. Lots of stuff to grind, if you want to, but doesn’t make you feel like you have to do it for progression.

I want the Bodyguards back.

I 100% agree. With this xpansion, you can run some renown, run some myths, get geared to your liking and log off! Come back two weeks later, and still be in a good spot. Other xpansion you take a 1 week break and you are somehow leagues behind cause of something you didn’t farm daily.

Exactly and if I want to just plow dungeons all day even low ones I can do that or pug or w/e

There’s a lot of leeway in endgame which gives me freedom to go back and do the legacy stuff.

There are reasons if you want but logging in every day feels tiresome in any game I played daily after a while. But for me, DF really isn’t fun… I’m thinking of scaling down my alts that I use to do professions and try to make gold as I do and just focus on one character I do everything with.

Cool story OP.

Everyone’s experience is not the same though. If I am still subscribed it’s because I am getting something out of it. So until then I’ll have fun. You do you.

Hell I even have enough time to play other games at times (or you know, get off the computer from time to time.) too and avoid burn out (like BFA did). I avoided SL like the plague.

DF sucks. Bring back dailies

That’s how the game should be, IMO, that you don’t feel pressured to log in every day. It’s why I like WQs being on a 3 day rotation, and having a week to finish a lot of the “mandatory” profession and weekly activities.

Erm.

Why?

Because there’s no mandatory chores?

Log on and play because you want to do something fun.

This goes double for me.

Agreed.

10/char

What, stuff I have to log on to do every day on every char I’d like to be functional in endgame content?

Dude, this my my sentiment exactly.

Dragonforce heh

allows me to play how I want (almost) and I love it.

I get to play other games or alts now.

I would take Chromie Time to level 70 on alts as a comprise. That way I will not have to deal with Dragon Riding while leveling.

Ditto. I have never understood wanting a game that incentivizes playing it like a a part time job.
