Very little incentive to do content

Lets have a look at the avalible content outside of raidlogging ST:

Nightmare Portals: The exp and gold have been nerfed, making this an inferior form of leveling to simply spamming ZF or portentially even questing normally, and it is no longer a good source of gold @ cap. In addition, the rewards, especially the epics at Exalted are mediocre if not flat out bad for (almsot)every class.

BGs: Both WSG and AB have more time efficent ways to farm rep via the Ashenvale and Bloodmoon PvP events, and HPH with no premades is generally terrible, causing a lack of players queueing, while this is potentially a good way (maybe the best with Commendation Nerf) way to farm honor, queue times are long (20 min and up to an hour outside of peak times) and once again the reward structure is lackluster at best, farming r7 is basically just a layup for future ranking in p4 assuming gear later on is decent.

Bloodmoon: The new items range from must haves to in my case terrible. So there is incentive to do bloodmoon, but getting the coins needed for your 1 new item likely takes you 1-2 attempts, otherwise, the only incentive is farming AB rep, which given gear scaling will likely provide worthless or quickly replaced gear next phase regardless.

Dungeon Farm: There are a few new pieces of important loot, but given the bugs (which I suppose are allegedly fixed) the only outstanding item is BoED, which has a drop rate somewhere between .3% and 1%, you could endlessly farm it or just snag one of the 4 decent caster weapons from raid.

Essence farm: Is fine, rather grindy, doable very quickly and offers potentially 1-2 good items per person, likely an activity you can do in an afternoon.

The sad but unfortunate question is, why do anything but raid, most of the alternative gearing options are bland, borderline useless, or flat out bad, people aren’t queuing BGs, Bloodmoon will have a player pop decline soon, the nightmare incursions while cool in theory offer no substantial rewards.

p3 has missed one of the core tenants of what makes classic generally good, and thats meaningful work for a meaningful reward.

Being completely honest unless you care about raid logs this game just does not have anything to offer.

Do we know if SGC is even in? Its req 52, so I could see them just strait up not including it on loot tables, or having that particular arena boss just not spawn.

You can get 4 per consecutive hour, 5 on the first, and you need between 12 and 39 depending on the class.

It isn’t a gigantic grind, but it takes time.

My incentive - I just like to play the game.

you can move much faster than that using the logout reset to remove your lockouts. We got princess down to 5ish min runs.

You can remove your lockouts? That’s news to me.

What bug is allowing you to do more than 5 dungeon IDs in an hour?

Imagine needing a carrot on a stick in front of you to play a game. I bet ya’ll are the kind of people who unsub any time your character achieves full bis.

Its the same one Jokerd used to do like 17 ZFs an hour. You logout to charachter select, hit back, cancel reconnect, and then manually enter your info, this clears your lockouts letting you do infinite dungeons per hour.

What an immense bug. I can’t believe that’s been in since 2019 and they haven’t fixed it.

What’s more I can’t believe this is the first I’m hearing about it lol

I would be happy to just pvp if BG queues weren’t a literal hour sometimes.

I can’t even imagine playing SoD without friends and/or a guild.

Wish the BG queues were better though.

39 for warriors, 51 for paladins

Protector’s Ring/Legionnaire’s Band ended up being prebis for Warriors since it’s only a 5% hit cap this phase, so it’s even less at 27, but the point remains.

Yea, if you do PvP you can get by with less.

I really need to find a way get through the PvP grind without letting the intrusive thoughts in.

How dare you

PvP is def the way to go. Both the PvE set boots and the PvP set boots blow the plate boots from Wild Offerings out of the water.

Its like no one plays video games for fun anymore.

Bgs should be fun, not a means to an end.

Raiding and doing dungeons should be fun, not just get BiS and quit.

I play the game because I’m in a guild filled with people who make it really fun.

And the content brought us here, and is enough to keep us so…yeah!

On any given night/day we:

  • PvP either in bgs or world
  • Rep grind for things like enchants and prep for 60
  • Do the new content - incursions, crafting chain
  • Play where is all the waldos with the gnomer trinket that randomly teleports people places
  • Death roll until someone goes broke
  • Run 5 mans
  • Level alts together
  • Chase the annoying runes down…ugh
  • Go hang out in stormwind…we are horde. Sometimes the welcome isn’t very warm but oh well.
  • Hang out in discord, chatting about whatever which can lead into other random activities, or even a pick up game of a MOBA or online board game.
  • Set up naked runs through alliance territory, that costs an entry fee and winner takes all

But at the end of the day, logging into wow keeps us together and engaged so.

If you are here for loot - probably want to try an AARPG game like diablo, POE, or Last Epoch. This game will drive ya nuts…
