There is a pinned note at the top of the forum explaining this. It is not a forum to debate rulings or to offer suggestions. In fact debating and discussing a ruling is against the code of conduct. There are suggestion forums and many of us here have pointed out how best to make your voice heard.
At no point in any of the threads you’ve posted were you give any sort of guarantee about if your materials may be returned to you.
No one here is ever even guaranteed that a blue would respond to a post, especially those where they can do nothing. The only ones who would be able to grant your wish are the GMs, and once more, GMs do not come to this forum. Unfortunately, they have chosen not to return your materials as they are most often hands off in these sorts of situations.
Changing the name won’t stop folks from coming here and telling everyone they should get what they want. Making a list and detailing what this forum is fore won’t stop people from assuming them posting will get what they want. Reworking the forums won’t stop folks from assuming they’re in the right and should get what they want, no if ands or buts.
If in references to what I said, I never said you were a liar. But I went back into your previous threads you’ve posted, and in not a single one of them were you told you were going to get anything back. People told you to give it a shot, but not to get your hopes up too high. In the end, you gave it a shot and it did not go in the way you had hoped it would.
There is nothing that can be done by any blue that posts here, as has been said a number of times by several of us here. SFAs are not GMs.
GMs can only be reached by ticket or other means that might open up depending on the situation. You’re welcome to reopen your ticket but more than likely you’re going to get the same response you’ve already been given.
Blizzard created a Trade chat channel in order for people to be able to trade items within the game. It is permitted to do that and it is frustrating.
I can only suggest that in the future you only buy and/or sell items via C.O.D. mail. You tell them, mail me the item C.O.D. and I will reply with the payment. If they say no, walk away. Anyone who refuses to do that is not to be trusted.
Otherwise, only deal through the AH or with people you know and can trust.
So you knew you had concerns about this players trustworthiness before you ever gave him your mats, but you chose to willingly hand those mats over anyway.
Why? Because you were ‘just in a habit of getting xmutes.’
You got careless and lazy about making sure the players you were doing business were trustworthy. Taske this as a lesson learned and stop wasting your time putting in ticket after ticket that you know isn’t going to help. More importantly, stop wasting the GMs’ time so that they can focus on tickets that can actually be resolved.
if you have a problem with the current policy, you can not get it changed by making tickets. GMs don’t set policy and are not liaisons with the ones who do. You can not get it changed by post in the Customer Support forum. The SFAs here do not set policy and are not liaisons with the ones who do. You need to post in Classic General Discussion. The CMs there do report to the Devs, who set this policy. Alternatively, you can tweet the Devs directly at @WarcraftDevs
Just be aware that even if they make the change you will not likely get the arcanite bar back. Policy changes are rarely retroactive.
P.S. If you do have a ticket open, you need to ask for your mats back, not the transmuted bar. You traded the mats to the other player. If they are able to return something to you, it would be the mats.
They transmuted something in front of you. You can’t say with any certainty whether your mats were used or not.
I can’t help but wonder how many of those mats you could have farmed up again in the time you’ve spent kvetching about the iniquity of the scamming policy.
That doesn’t matter. You gave the other player the mats, so that would be what could be returned if they are able to. You didn’t trade the bar with them.
it said the player created an arcanite bar with my mats in the loot window. i am certain they transmuted it in front of me.
its not about the mats anymore. its about the fact that blizzard will do nothing about it and and just answers my 4 day wait time ticket with an automated message saying that they cant fix it for no apparent reason
