whats the point of having versatility if it doesn’t do ANYTHING… 25% vers means 12.5 damage reduction and STILL getting hit from that same 100k ability

no you’re getting hit for like 87.5k
you’re also doing 25% more damage
when they make like 3% or 6% damage buffs sometimes metas change entirely
25% is literally > ret paladin wings

As BM hunters, versatility isn’t very relevant to our performance. If you choose to be an MM hunter, though, it’s HOT!
It causes you to do more damage/healing and take less damage. It is a very… versatile stat.

Versatility has different weights for different specs. It’s one of the few that are actually beneficial for EVERY spec. For you, as a Beast Mastery Hunter, it’s not the most important stat to stack, but it is, nevertheless, important for your damage output.
For BM, it sims very close to Haste in bumping your damage, second-only to Critical Strike. It doesn’t make you dodge abilities, but it does make them hit you for less than they would without the versatility. Most importantly for DPS classes, versatility is a raw increase of you damage. Your abilities hit harder with it.

2.) Haste = Versatility
For several of the tanks and for a few DPS specs, versatility is the most important stat to stack. More damage done and less damage taken = tanking. 
Each stat affects damage output differently for different specs, but don’t shy away from versatility in Beast Mastery. It’s your friend.

Some people running up to like 50%. 25% perma damage reduction is absolutely massive. Even 40% alone feels ridiculous on my DH when im in my vers build. That also means I’m healing for that much more while taking less damage. Just depends on what each class wants to stack.

for tanks it’s easily 1 of the best stats especially if you’re doing high m+ keys
is that “same ability” Greater Pyroblast and/or Chaos Bolt?
My 47% versatility makes me almost indestructible. Check it out. I have more sockets than you do.
I don’t mind it but I kinda think it’s a boring stat. I wouldn’t care if they removed it entirely.

Literally no stat helps you in PVP anymore. Welcome to World of Gushingcraft. Corruption has definitely put the nail in the coffin of BFA pvp.
At least they got rid of Spirit. 
Shadowlands pvp will be as bad if not worse.

Yeah, SL pvp will be horrible, no corruption, no tf/wf, no essences to deal with. Getting pvp power back on pvp gear which hopefully will make pvp gear the best for pvp seems horrible as well.
Yep, SL is shaping up to be Bfa pvp all over again.
