Version 8.3.7 Update Notes

“It’s only a silly head gasket, the thing is 2mm thick, look at it. You’re telling me that thing is going to take eight hours of labor to put in?”

If you don’t know the ins and outs, being condescending about the time required only serves to make you look foolish.

The companion app is asking to download the update, I use the app on IOS and there is no update available

Im surprised he didnt demand a free week of gametime for the inconvenience.

Is anyone still actually playing BFA to really care? It could be a 3 day downtime and its not like you are missing anything.

Are you sure that the typical WoW player is asleep by 2AM? :stuck_out_tongue:

Is there a reason why Blizzard doesn’t include the size of the patch in the official announcement?

Guessing the reason might be that a “small patch” for some might not be for others. lol

Count me in as one of the people experiencing camera issues. I previously did Island Expeditions minutes before down time - no issues. After update - the “mouselook” mode automatically turns on whenever “autorun” is enabled. I have found no fix yet. Even as this is happening, “/run print(IsMouselooking())” displays “false”. ???

It even happens with all add-ons disabled. How this went live with apparently no testing whatsoever is beyond me. Or maybe it’s on purpose?!

This new, extremely annoying autorun mouselook mode appears to be separate from the previously existing mouselook mode. Besides IsMouselooking() returning false, the old mouselook mode hides the cursor, but this buggy new autorun mode keeps the cursor displayed and generally acts as if you’re pressing a mouse button down to control the direction of your character.

A temporary fix is the following:
/console rawMouseEnable 0

It will still cause other issues, which is why most of us run with it being on.

you new patch broke so many stuff that was fixed before how QA didnt catch this? you guys have the resources come on…

I suspect it’s the working from home during Covid. I’ve been working from home all my life and met high standards despite kids running around, but apparently this is a new challenge for large companies new to it. “Just push it, I’m sure it will work. We tested it in beta. Shut up Jason!!!”

oh lordy did they.

Except that my mouse and my camera are totally (and I mean TOTALLY) horked now. That seems pretty player-facing to me.

Just because only a small update was required for clients doesn’t mean no update was applied to the servers. Applying a client-side patch, regardless of its size, does not actually require a maintenance period at all. Maintenance periods are for the server hardware to receive updates/upgrades.

Please refrain from making snarky comments when you have less than zero knowledge about the topic you’re commenting on
