all spec’s its either the worst or 2nd worst stat for PvE…the only exception is Brew Master Monks.
if it’s such an undesirable stat why have it for PvE at all…it should be what Resilience use to be and should only roll on PvP gear. Either that or make it have a better stat weight than what it currently is make it a better over all stat, more desirable…especially since so much PvE gear drops with it.
It’s not that bad as you’re making it. It’s boring for sure but having a little bit of it on your equipment isn’t going to affect you much
right I get that…but having that instead of something more useful to me will hurt don’t you think?
You’d have to do the math. Versatility comes out ahead in some cases in small amounts than those BiS stats like if you have 30% haste for instance and you go for 32%. Instead put that in vers
I agree somewhat im just tired of vers being on all my gear maybe just roll back on the stat on gear when u start hitting caps on haste crit etc it can become much more useful
If only this was actually true, but in single target it’s second for Shadow and top for Demo and Outlaw. Actually once they hit their major haste breakpoint it’s the only stat Outlaw scales with at all

They could call it something like “resilience.”
It’s second best for resto shamans. And arguably is underrated, as it adds survivability making it a buff to your healer as well. On any character I’ve prefer it over the 4 the place start due to that, even if not mathematically optimal for DPS. However if they want to buff it to improve it I’ve have no problems with that.
I’d rather the tertiary bonus stat concept be revamped and versatility become a tertiary stat. Another one that could be added is cooldown reduction. Especially in the form of deterministic gear upgrading.
But admittedly I have pretty radical gearing ideas for the game. I honestly think most enemies should drop items used to craft gear, whether it’s crafted by players or a crafting interface.

It’s the best for Brew and Outlaw out of the four characters I regularly play, and the fact that you didn’t know the second one makes me think you took a trip inside your own colon to inform your first claim. Your first claim, of course, already being meaningless dribble. Being the worst or second worst of four stats is a pretty broad umbrella.
And then what once it’s removed? Mastery is now the worst or second worst and it also needs to go? Or is versatility special because you are philosophically opposed to gearing choices that make life easier for your healer and make your character more effective in the majority of situations instead of being a pure glass cannon? Because if you aren’t playing for title I promise you that versatility is a much stronger stat than the recommendations that are exclusively crafted with consideration to DPS would have you believe.
There’s a reason why most specs consider it the best or second-best secondary in PvP, and now that I have a season and change of M+ experience to add to my many years of arena experience, I’m going to let you in on a little secret: your average spec is taking meaningful damage more often in dungeons than they are in arena. 99.9% of players are not flawlessly piloting a DPS character while playing with four others who are flawlessly piloting their own characters. I would put down an incredible sum of money on the bet that if M+ players thought of vers the way that arena players do (and talents, for that matter), that the success rate of keys across the playerbase would improve significantly.
I use it as my second stat on G Druid and main stat on this.

My classes best stat? Nah, I’ll pass :x
versatility should be loaded on easy to get gear from Delves/world content.
Want better stats? Play the MMO.
