I think i speak for everyone when i say, Verse is a boring stat and id like to see it removed. It does nothing visually. You dont know its there. Think of an Ele shaman. I could build mastery and haste. Quickly casting spells that have a huge chance to overload. That would be fun gameplay. Instead i am required to make one of my secondary stats verse because it would be inefficient not to. But its just boring. Please just get rid of it. Arcane mages mastery is literally vers…

Or course. But its not fun. And you have to have it. It automatically takes away from unique builds because you have to take verse or ur weaker. Why defend that when you could have that same damage baseline and build crit and haste. Or mastery crit. So much more fun

If it got removed then something else would take its place and be that stat that gives everyone a little something regardless of class/spec/lv or whatever.

for most specs mastery is just as boring as vers because it just gives a damage boost to cold etc… well designed ones like resto druid giving more healing per regen on the target are rare. so that could do with an overhaul too.
in terms of vers, what would replace it? crit damage? not sure how much of an improvement that’d be but anything is better than vers. imo there should be more than one, 4 stats isn’t enough variety.
tertiary stats should always appear on gear too and maybe increase it to 2 tertiaries and add some more like reduced crit damage taken and increased attack/spell range. with a lot more variety in stats on gear it’d be a good opportunity to reintroduce reforging, and of course for PvP res gear will need to come back. maybe that could be a tertiary.

I’ve never been much of a fan of Vers but that’s because I like to experiment and craft my own stat non-meta builds and it’s just never jived with me.
Would I want it gone? no, because it does have its benefits to other people in different fields and I respect that.

Lol no. Verse carries so many specs which have horrible scaling with other stats, alongside it being goated on tanks. Removing it would mean a massive rebalance on everything alongside pvp gear with how its extra damage DR would come from

If they reworked mastery for most specs I would not mind as much but I actually like vers.
Taking less damage while dealing more is basic yes, but it makes your character feel strong unlike most of the other stats. I like haste but depending on the class I’m playing its not really needed that high. Crit is the most boring stat even though a big crit is nice.
My mastery for example as a Holy Paladin feels useless in so many situations and is just not fun at all. Mastery is just bad for many specs atm while vers is actual good.

I never complain about Vers.
There’s nothing, to my mind, to complain about. A pure damage / healing / damage reduction stat? That works across the board? Every point helps, and this is one of the few that helps everywhere.
