I keep hearing that details isnt showing all the collected information cause its not calculating the zDPS etc. How can we self check ourselves to ensure we are doing things correctly etcc.
You need to use Warcraft Logs or a similar site in order to review your own contributions more accurately. The Combat Hooks are dumped into a Log File that these sites utilize, but those Hooks are not available to the ingame combat log.
Details and other ingame damage meters won’t show the contribution and this is intentional on Blizzards part. The Feel good part of the spec is suppose to come from making your friends and allies numbers even bigger.
Really dumb idea on Blizzard’s part.
It did not feel good having the worst dps in the raid by a huge margin. And I wasn’t surprised at all that I was sat from mythic progression tonight. Performance with Augvoker, at least from what was visible in Details, was absolutely awful.
It’s also very hard to tell if I’m doing the rotation correctly without the immediate feedback of a functioning meter.
I can see this spec being quickly blacklisted from most PVE group content. It’s too hard to measure performance.
There’s DPS gaining 30k dps on their meters from avokers.
I can see those guys requesting the avoker tag along
visible confusion
I had a lot of responses to this post but I’ll just leave it at this:
Your RL clearly doesn’t understand how this spec works and they apparently don’t combat log.
I hope things improve for your situation in the future. I suggest the Evoker discord and Aug pins to start
At its debut, this spec is really going to shine with good-vibe guild groups that already have a deep understanding of each other’s performance. That makes its contribution obvious even from a quick glance at the meters.
Your RL should know your general Dev numbers, and the numbers everyone else does in general, and gauge Aug meters against those.
If a deeper look at logs is needed, sure, but honestly in a best-case scenario, it won’t be.
I don’t understand why anyone would be benched due to the spec’s current performance, especially since you could just go as Dev if there’s an issue??
I also hope things improve for your situation – well said, Draikia.
What are combat hooks and how do I find those on warcraft logs. Secondly, as far as I aware there are only logs for raiding environments correct? Those running mythic+'s really don’t have a way to evaluate their performance. Not everyone raids and there lies a problem.
Warcraft Logs works for Mythic+ dungeons as well, even works for Heroic Dungeons.
Anytime ive tried to look at dungeon logs i get a message saying “this fight comes from the leaderboards, there are no logs” I run the RIO app so im always logging. Not sure if ive just always been looking in the wrong area or what.
I’ve just been using Warcraft Logs and its default uploader so far uploading private logs.
Exactly we have a guild group that runs keys have timed most timed dungeons on 22s. Been helping one gear his evoker for Augmen. Crushed a 23 today ez. An augmen just sending moves will be meh. Coordinate them and OP, very strong.
Aug isn’t the spec for you if you want to be top dps. It is a support classified as a dps. Run logs and the log will attribute all dps added to allies to your own dps.
In game meters will never show that. At 433 in details I pull about 35k dps. and on logs some of the bosses that equaled 107k dps with all my buffs to party members.
