Venthyr Sinstone - Do not buy!

I’m in Shadowland, in the Venthyr covenant. I Just spent more than half of my stored anima (750) to buy a Venthyr Sinstone from Chachi the Artiste. I bought it so i could free-up my regular hearthstone; kind of like having a Dalaran-specific hearthstone.

But it doesn’t do anything more than copy my regular hearthstone’s function. i.e. It shares the same cool-down AND location as my regular hearthstone. So it’s useless.

Since I must assume that you would not purposely design something that costs 750 hard-earned anima, JUST to have another item in your inventory, I’m submitting it as a bug.

Not a bug, it’s a toy. Says so on the item. Also saves you a bag space by putting your hearthstone in your bank and using the toy on your action bar.

OP, not a bug.

It’s cosmetic.

Also @Pebrock, you can simply delete your HS too if you dont wanna waste bank space. You can get a new HS at any time from any innkeeper.

I assumed that would reset the Hearthstone location but I’m glad to be wrong. Ty.

OP go cry somewhere else, the tooltip clearly shows that it will take you to your hearthstone location.

The thing is, this is not a bug at all. In the vendor window, if you mouse over the sinstone, it clearly says that it will send you back to your normal hearthstone location, NOT to Sinfall. It also has a 30 minute cooldown rather than the much shorter one on your normal hearthstone.

IT does have a bug. it turns your 20 min reg hearthstone into the longer 25 min stone’s cd

That’s only if you use the toy rather than your normal hearthstone.

For those attacking OP, it DOES seem like a big IF you have your hearth set to Sinfall when you purchase the toy, because the tooltip will then say it teleports you to Sinfall. I only figured out the truth when I changed my Hearth location and the toy also changed.

Please be aware of the date of the thread you’re responding to. This is over 10 months dead, and necroing things isn’t a good thing. Anything older than a week or two, that’s when you create a thread of your own. But this isn’t a bug that needs reporting. No matter what the OP was getting hit with.

The bug forums is probably the only forum that necroing threads is fine only if you are reporting that the issue is still ongoing. As Blizzard prefers if bug reports on the same issue are contained in the one thread and not in several. As having multiple threads on the same issue will filter out other issues.

However in this case, Malaedy was out of line in necroing this thread, as it is not a bug and what they said is not reporting a bug.

I made the same mistake. Easy to do because the yellow text at the bottom says:
“Binding you to more than an inn”, and I read that as “Binding you to more than one inn”.
And thought, yeah… what a great idea… I will spend some of my hard earned anima for that.

My mistake, but still feel like I got scammed.

hearthstone-functioning toys have ALWAYS shared a CD and a location with your normal hearthstone. this isn’t a bug, and you weren’t scammed. you didn’t do any homework or ask any questions, so you were a victim of your own assumptions.
