Venthyr Door of Shadows will be broken

From watching Preach last video , Shadowlands is no where near ready for a release this fall . Maybe next year . One Convenant is not a one fix all for all Aspect of the game .

The bean counters will push this like they did bfa

Maybe it will still pull the mobs you skip over when you use it in dungeons/raids.

This is honestly all they need to do.

But more realistically they won’t at first and only do it 9.1.

That’s interesting, I just remember him saying that if nothing works then they’ll just let you switch freely. But want to make it work. I don’t follow every interview so that is interesting he said that. I doubt they’ll be that brave.

Its sad that history keeps repeating itself. Blizzard needs to give players the power of choice here Like talent choices. Just let us pick the covenant signature ability in a new talent row that has 4 slots. That is all they need to do

Nah, don’t want that.
Too generic and boring

I’m not dismissing the idea that the way covenants work might need to be adjusted, but if some covenant abilities would be so vital in M+ specifically, is it possible that M+ should be adjusted to be less sensitive to things like covenant abilities?

Are azerite essences boring to you or do you swap them based on the encounter such as single target raids, mythic plus, and single target mythic plus or pvp builds? Because if you swap them around then thats the same thing here that I am asking for. Its not boring its extremely fun to play around with and find new ways to approach the same problem with varying groups

Nope. I don’t swap them. And have never been asked too.

Well in competitive wow it is very frequent. I assume you are not very competitive because this is very frequently done for pvp and pve content. Maybe some classes have less variation than others but a quick review of warcraft logs can show the differences in choices between encounters from almost every spec and class. Its one of the best things I have spent hours playing around with and testing in bfa.

Its good no one asked you to change. You should not feel forced to. But in competitive wow we lkke choices that we can freely choose over choices that we are locked to for a whole expansion.

from the 3 videos ive seen preech make i will never watch anything he produces again, hes as bad as ballular at exagerating stuff x3
shadowlands will be fine for release this is just the alpha, numbers havnt even started to be balanced for anything they are just testing the very basics of everything which is what the alpha does, balancing comes in beta, and then further balancing comes in the prepatch

I do heroic raiding and 12-15 M+

And I never have never been asked to change my gameplay style to suit any of that.

So my style of gameplay is different than yours.
I like the way the system currently is as an RPG element of the game.

Let’s not go there, we’ve heard that with Legion Legendaries and Azerite, let’s make sure they see feedback and act on it as soon as possible. Some utility you can’t just balance with tuning, major changes should be done in alpha.

People like you say the same **** every release lmao

and this isnt anywhere near a major tuning. its literally as simple as locking it to ground target and increasing the cast time or cooldown and thats it, balanced

Don’t consider that to be OP because you still need % for trash packs, and we don’t know dungeon designs.

I watched the video. This made me miss cloak and dagger.

There’s nothing new. They’re out of fresh ideas, so restrictions is what we get.

I think if you watched the video you missed the point. He literally said he doesnt care about damage numbers because they can be tuned. Its the utility options that worry him and if anyone has ever come to these forums they can see people hate demon hunters because of their utility. Now imagine 1/4 of the wow community becoming op utility players like DHs and 3/4 of the player base does not. It will cause imbalance issues and likely lead to overcorrections on blizzards parts that take the fun of the utility to begin with.

The point is just let these signature abilities be talents.

To that end the current system provides you the rpg you enjoy and the player choices I enjoy. Therefore I do not disagree with you rather I want you to see how I want the covenant system to be more like the essence talent change system so it fits for both of our playstyles.

Your playstyle is fine for the content that you do. But i would not say that content is competitive per say. 2.1K arena rating and above, +20 mythic plus key difficulty and above is what I am talking about. Mythic raiding also.

no… i definately did not say this in the previous 3 expansions those were trash from the very beginning shadowlands looks promising though and theres alot of good already, freaking out over a clearly unfinished ability is kinda overdramatic
