At the end of chapter 7 of the Venthyr campaign after completing quest “Enough Vengeance for One Day” now the quest journal says “Rescue Laurent from the Ember Ward to continue the campaign”. I’ve already rescued him once before when leveling and he’s no longer in the Ember Ward for me, he’s in sinfall around 31.07, 42.68.
Is the quest log text wrong?
Seconded. Laurent has been rescued and is in Sinfall for me right now, but I am unable to progress with the campaign. My mirror rebuild questline is complete so I have no idea what I’m looking for.
I’m in the same boat . Idk what else to do he’s in the castle because I rescue him when leveling so like idk

Same issue. I’ve completed the quest line and seem to be stuck. Not sure what to do next.
I thought the same thing too. But, the next chapter requires renown 20 and chapter 8 renown 22 (which is the required renown for the shoulders). Also, chapter 8 requires completion of the Laurent quest, so I think Blizz put this in as a heads up for those who have not completed that part.
Ok, I think I found the issue. I guess renown cap is at 18 this week? At least that what I saw from article on Icy Veins.
If that is the case then I’m good to go. Next week I should get the next quest chain.
I dont see Laurent anywhere in sinfall, any ideas?
If you don’t see Laurent in Sinfall, then you might want to check the Ember Ward for the quest line that gets him back to Sinfall.
Bump. I’m getting this same bug.
I unlocked the mirrors for my Venthyr campaign headquarters before I technically ‘rescued’ Laurent fully. But Laurent is currently in my Sinfall area at the coords op posted and I still see the “Rescue Laurent from the Ember Ward to continue the campaign” on my campaign quest log.
Rescuing Laurent is part of Campaign chapter 8/9: Envy. In order to do that quest you need to have 20 renown.
We’re time-gated to only being able to receive up to 18 renown this week.
Week 7 (next week) we can receive up to 22. Meaning, we have to wait until next week to rescue Laurent.
Ok, well it shouldnt tell me I need to rescue laurent if i already did that.
That’s a major design flaw as I spent like 15 mins trying to figure out what was wrong.
If we’ve rescued Laurent than it should just say we need to get to renown level 20. Ugh.
The main drawback here is that you can upgrade your set items again if you complete chapter 7 which this bug prevents venthyr players from doing. It’s obvoisly a blowing up topic so hopefully they fix it today
