I used the portal from Sinfall to the Maw and went directy to the Venthyr assault. After taking all the quests, I clicked on one of the giants on the tower to throw me down to the ground to begin the quests.
As soon as land on the ground, I get disconnected from server. I tried reconnecting lots of times, even with all addons disabled. I spawn landing on the ground then immediately get disconnected again.
I am to having this issue.
Also got caught by this, didnāt have any of the assault quests when I clicked on Muckhands and got a persistent disconnect hitting the ground. Relogged 10 or so times so my character died to AOE and it didnāt disconnect anymore.
Just experienced this issue. Giants name is Muckhandsā¦please ban

Atm the only way to get past this bug loop is to use the character transfer service.
same bug on my warlock, get thrown then auto disconnects , this is a constant loop of reconnecting and disconnecting - had to request toon be sent to a āsafe placeā which dropped all the quests i picked up (some of which iād finished but not turned in) , wont be going near this shambles again for a awhile.
Ditto. I disconnected twice before I was finally able to log back in (and found myself dead). I did not have to use āmove to safe placeā.
ok being a sucker for punishment i tried to do this again on my lock- and got the same disconnect loop ,- as such this assault is unplayable (or unfinishable ) for me.
Having the same issue. Unable to log back in. Stuck in disconnect loop as soon as my character touches the ground.
Iām stuck in this too, every time I reconnect I get disconnected right before I hit the ground.

Similar issue, though I was not thrown by anyone, I just jumped off a small ledge to get down to the next level. Now Iām constantly disconnected upon rejoining the game as soon as my character loads in. I can see my pet sitting there, head moving, and then just as my body loads in, I disconnect. Iāve tried with no addons, with resetting my settings lower, and doing a scan repair, but nothing worked. This was in the center base area of Korthia.
I was able to use the Character Stuck feature to move the character to the graveyard, which succeeded in freeing it from the disconnect cycle.
Same exact problem here for me as wellā¦
Iād like to also point out I have found literally no other way off this damn wall which doesnāt involve consumables like goblin glidersā¦ The only ramp up/down off the wall has four mobs guarding the top which pelt you to death while at the same time slowing you to a crawl so you canāt get out of their ground effects. Not a problem if thereās 500 people going up/down keeping them killed but if you happen to be alone going to the assault at a slow time, youāre screwed. Even after managing to run past them, I was then stuck in eternal combat with one hitting me through the floor anytime I tried to get near that section of wall.
Please give some other way to get up/down off the damn wall. I canāt believe no one stopped to think about this. 
Iām bumping this as the same thing is happening to me right now when jumping from a hill in Korthia. Disconnect loop as soon as I landed on the ground.

Same here. Log in, hit ground, disconnect. Why doesnāt Blizzard want us to play thier game? I tried no less than 30 times to log on and I canāt. Back to FFXIV I guess. Thanks for making the choice for me Blizz
