Hey all been running Wailing Caverns from 18-22 trying to get Venomstrike to drop and also get the roll. Just wondering if I should now move on or keep giving it a go or whether there is another blue bow drop or quest item around my level.
Its pretty rare, some dungeon items in vanilla are much less common than others, get used too it lol. Probably worth farming I guess because there isn’t many bows or guns until level 30-35 ish +
Don’t waste time farming a low level dungeon over and over. You could just get a green a few levels higher and keep moving. Gear drops barely matter at all pre 60.

Ok well I’m 11/20 for the hides. And 3/10 for the serpentbloom so I’m guessing it’s prob a good idea to finish those, hope for the rolls and if not move on to ashenvale
Venomstrike is an extremely good damage bow until level 30 or even almost 40 , don’t feel bad about doing an extra 2 or 3 runs with no hunters in the group hoping for your good item.

only stick it out of you plan to twink a 19. otherwise move on. no item is worth that much effort when you will just level past it.
You will not run across another blue ranged dungeon BoP until Galgann’s Fireblaster in Ulda unless you get lucky and the rare spawn Blind Hunter is in RFK and also drops the bow.
That said I wouldn’t obssess over Venomstrike too much. There are plenty of BoE green and quest reward ranged weapons that will serve you well until Verdant Keeper’s Aim from the Maraudon quest.
