Is it just me, or are Vengeance DH’s kinda squishy compared to other tanks?
I’m still working on leveling other tanks… but my Druid is half as geared and can already take more of a pounding than my DH… It’s putting a ton of stress on my healer.
The spec is really fun to play… but I might have to shelf this guy for doing mythic+ cause my healer is going to have a stroke watching my healthbar yoyo from empty to full over and over.
I mean, I could definitely be doing something wrong… but I feel like the DH needs more uptime on demon form or demon spikes… and this fiery brand playstyle isn’t nearly as fun.
I dunno, feeling a bit demoralized about DH tanking right now.

I haven’t had many issues with m0, but would openly welcome a slight cd reduction on demon spikes. We have a ton of tools for tanning in general, but they tend to be effective in short bursts. Leaping away, sigils, ds, fel devastation, meta, brand, and the healing from sb/cleave helps out a lot.
However, you’re not wrong in that we have windows of vulnerability. Most healers have been able to help pull me through bad moments, but I think for most content, it’s a learning thing. I need more practice and to more carefully utilize my tools.
As for super difficult content? I would not be able to respond helpfully, this is my first time really doing mythic

Fel Devastation needs to be dropped to a 30 second CD, Spirit Bomb needs dps nerfed, and last resort needs to be made baseline so we can take Bulk Extraction.
Having said that, if you feel squishy you are either not properly healing yourself or your soul generation is low for some reason. I’ve been using the spirit bomb build and I can pull giga in most zones (recklessly huge in fact) and I have very few issues. There are some tank buster mechanics like stacking bleeds in HoA which can get me but generally speaking I can heal through most of this.
