I geared up my DH to 528 pvp and started running Vengeance. I play my Blood DK daily in pvp and even with the current nerfs, It feels pretty good. But the Vengeance DH just feels bad. Fel devastation constantly being interupted and put on long CD, Spirit bomb is fair when in the middle of a pack, It can somewhat keep you alive. Soul cleave feels horrible. especially when compared to Death strike on DK. It can not sustain you even with soul fragments laying around.
And now on to the worst part. Is it me or is VDH even more squishy than Havoc? I mean talk about getting blown up. Instant death. The lack of meaningful defensive cooldowns outside of meta (2-3 min) and Fel devastation (always 40 seconds because of being interrupted) means you just die… instantly… to just about anything. I even tried a frailty setup and it was still very lackluster.
The mobility is great and sigils are fun but man does VDH just feel like it is almost mage level of squishy. Minus the mage shield. I would argue the mage shield is often times tankier than just “having more HP”
Maybe it is because Blood DK is the base line I am comparing it to but it feels like just about every DPS has better rotating defensives than VDH and just about every tank with the exception of monk can take a hit better.
Any suggestions to not just get instant deleted? Trying to run a flag is painful. You have good mobility but you just can’t survive without being knee deep in combat and even then the healing is just garbage compared to blood or even prot warrior…
