Vengeance changes 8.2

I’m not even thinking about non-Bomb builds, so much as playing the Bomb build without maximizing Spirit Bomb as priority. Not saying it would be great or worth it, just saying that I’m going to give it a go.

Vop turns gluttony into something like 500 hps at least.

If Meta was even a little better it might be an interesting combo.

I hope they increase the buffs even if it’s just below the amount most have suggested.

But…wouldn’t that be sacrificing the DPS benefits of the Bomb build and the survivability benefits of the non-Bomb build? I mean, I just don’t understand what you’re trying to do here. The entire point of the Bomb build is that it’s substantially higher DPS without sacrificing much survivability. If you spec it but don’t use it except for Frailty, why even have Bomb at all? As I pointed out in the Soul Cleave Thoughts thread, Frailty hasn’t a snowballs chance in (painful fiery place) of beating Soul Cleave’s innate healing, for the same pain cost. If you’re trying to maximize healing, retaining Bomb is not the way to do it, and if you do retain Bomb but aren’t seeking to maximize it, you’re basically throwing away the entire point of taking Bomb in the first place (the DPS advantage).

Well, I was working from the assumption that the other talents on the row wouldn’t really be any better for survivability, since that’s what Spirit Bomb actually competes with. Frailty seems to contribute about 6% of my healing, which last night in Freehold+16 was about 720 HPS. :-/ (Consume Soul was over 50%, my 415 Opulence trinket was 14% lol.)

Granted, it’s hard to push the limits during bolstering weeks. 50% of my Soul Cleave heals were overheal. This week should be a lot better for testing tank survivability.

Regardless, I don’t think there really is a way to take advantage of the self-healing sufficiently to cover the gaps. :frowning:
