Veng DH losing Fel Scarred hero tree

With a 3rd DH spec coming, that means a new hero tree for talents. Which means they are changing which 2 each spec gets…

THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE PLANNING
havoc - fel scarred + aldrachi
Veng - aldrachi + new one
Devour - new one + fel scarred

This means vengeance is losing access to Fel scarred which is what I have been playing all expansion……

Absolutely horrendous and truly disappointing that I will lose access to my favorite hero tree.

Havoc - Fel scarred + new one
Veng - Fel scarred + aldrachi
Devour - aldrachi + new one

Is that confirmed or just speculation? Because I can’t imagine Havoc not having access to the “mid range” DPS spec.

Whats surprising too is that means felscarred is going to the void spec?

Tank - reaver & new one
Havoc - reaver & scarred
Devour - scarred & new one?

Seems odd to me. Ill miss scarred as vengeance but im swapping to void anyway so i guess i wont miss it long?

Yeah that seems odd to me though. Because they are removing “fel” from the animations for void hunters. Like itll all be blue and purple.

So why have felscarred as one of their hero talents? It seems to not thematically mix but that is me.

I for sure thought void would get reaver & the new one. Like i practically planned on it.

I feel for you, OP. This was the part of the third spec that made me doubt its existence back when we were still speculating about it. Because yeah, logically one of them would have to change, and I wasn’t sure they’d be willing to. Because obviously some folks would be upset.

They should just make it crappy for the next couple of patches so that no one will miss it :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually the interview said that when a void elf dh is felscarred it will still use fel green stuff.

Man I dont like the throw empowered glaive tree. This new one better be good.

So it going to be

Veng - Annihilator or AR
Havoc - AR or FS
New spec - Annihilator or FS

Thats what i thought. Kind of a bummer demon mode vengeance was cool because vengeance meta was far cooler than havocs.

Reaver is about souls but it’s also about phys damage too, guessing it’d be weird for a casting spec to be using hero talents that revolved around glaive mastery and fighting.

I do think FS should/should’ve been rebranded though, I don’t think the theme of farting every time you use an ability is that cool.

I mean throwing the glaives as a ranged dps using scythes and stuff? Sounds fine to me :person_shrugging:

But it just solidifies me playing pure void mode dps. Done need any of that green goop illidan peer pressured me into ripping my eyes out for.

i find it strange that the tank spec is getting the new dps hero talent tree, rather than having both dps specs have both dps trees

Yeah it’s mind boggling that they would give devour spec fel scarred over aldrachi.

Here’s my idea

Havoc - fel scarred + new one
Veng - Fel scarred + aldrachi
Devour - aldrachi + new one

Would make wayyyyy more sense.

It’s simple.
Havoc getting aldrachi is the lazy fix.

They don’t wanna redesign the spec tree to get rid of all the Throw garbage that was necessary to support it.

The throw glaive talents don’t even interact with reavers glaive though
