Why is vendetta still a debuff on the target? Vendetta isn’t an interesting cooldown it was a stronger version of Hunger for blood replacement that appeared in cataclysm. It has become an Iconic Assassination spell because of its longevity in the game and assassination having no other offensive cooldowns that stick around for very long. Toxic Blade is currently a BFA favorite offensive talent spell but who is to say it wont be gone in the next expansion yet we know most likely vendetta will remain.
I ask again years later please change vendetta so it can’t be easily juked.
Vendetta can currently be juked by invulnerabilities and life swap and you can’t switch targets with it. This makes it feel weak vs warrior and ret paladin for example burst cooldowns.
at the very least I propose vendetta’s cooldown be reset if it is removed by an invulnerability shield that removes the debuff.

I don’t personally like your idea, as I find I have enough murder power with just kidney shot and toxic blade every 30 seconds. Vendetta forces major CDs. Meh.

Agreed. Make it a buff on the rogue like combo points were channged to be.
M+ is annoying whem we csnt use our major cd.effectively on trash

From a PVP standpoint, I could see this idea met with a lot of backlash.
PVE wise, this would be quite nice to have. As Mercader said, it feels like a bust when it comes to M+ and having utilization of it with trash pulls.
Just wait till you get the vendetta essence with the 8 sec vendetta proc chance, then everything will feel alot better.
Tested it on the PTR and its amazing with triple nothing personal traits!
Leave Vendetta alone, next thing people will be complaining about is PoTW debuff after a fricking stun…

Ive often thought it was pretty out of date compared to other classes main offensive as well. A new offensive cool down to replace vendetta would be nice but keep vendetta as a 30 sec cool down that you can apply to a target and lets you see them through stealth for like 5-6 secs.
Assassins pick a target and eliminate it. Let’s not homogenize rogue even more and make every class the same. Thanks boys.
Sure, I’m all about class fantasy too but if it puts me at a disadvantage compared to every other class in the game. Then fudge it homogenize me.
Where does it end? Pretty ridiculous that Mages have ice block, paladins have bubble, hunters have turtle and yet we get NO immunity. Also, why don’t we have a ranged kick? I’d really like a disarm baseline.
