Venari sockets in 9.1

Are they useable in 9.1 gear?

I’m hoping they’ll be replaced with something else maybe corthia rep item?

I avoided doing any naw dailies so far and don’t want start now if I absolutely don’t have too

We got an answer on this yet?

Current sockets are not usable on 9.1 gear. There are sockets we can apply to 9.1 gear that come from 9.1 content. They’ll come from Korthia content, as well as the bonus floors from Torghast (Adamant Vaults).

Wait so there’s no point to Venari rep as of 9.1?

And rob you of the experience of re-farming all the stygia? I THINK NOT.

I’m not happy about this after grinding Ve’nari rep.

Last I checked stygia was the currency required for buying cosmetic items in Korthia – along with rep on the new 9.1 faction. But the Ve’nari rep itself I don’t think has any further function.

So enhancement shamans need to move to Cloak for our legendary come 9.1.

Can I purchase the piece that adds the socket and still apply it to the cloak once it is able to be made? (legendary isn’t available on cloak until 9.1)

As long as the legendary you remake is r4 or below.

They have been tested on PTR and work on lvl 4 legendaries. No guarantee that this will be true when 9.1 is released or that they will work on lvl 5/6 legendaries. They are disappearing from the vendor next week - that is certain. The replacement requires a lot more stygia - which is also resetting next week. Put it this way, if you have the stygia, you might as well buy whatever you can. You won’t have the stygia next week so it won’t hurt you if you buy them and they end up being useless.

I hadn’t read anywhere that stygia was being reset. Sadge.

Highly doubt they’re resetting Stygia.

Also, the new socket isn’t purchased with Stygia, it’s purchased with Cataloged Research.

Unfortunately, the Spatial Realignment Apparatus doesn’t work on cloaks.
Helms, necks, bracers, belts, or rings only.

Yeah I read notes on wowhead so I missed that. But I know that the current socket upgrades disappear from the vendor - so whatever the case, buying them now doesn’t hurt you. Also they definitely work on the PTR, but for how long that will remain true is anyone’s guess.
