I’ve been max Appreciative (and working on first Mysterious Gift) for years with Ve’nari and the Animated Levitating Chain doesn’t show up for me in her sell items. Wow ticket useless other than form letter suggesting I check wowhead, etc. Then a “real” help suggested I put in a bug report (in WoW).
Does anyone know of a way that I can find out if I already bought it? That wasn’t addressed with the ticket and it’s possible that I got it years ago.
Just speculating since I’m not home to test, but the use effect of the chain is to flag quest 63217 as complete.

(I also use Quest Completist.) Can you tell me the quest name please? I couldn’t find a searchable WoW quest number page.

A lot of one time use/loot items do so by flagging a hidden quest as complete. It’s not an actual quest that you go and do.

Ok, thanks, but your string returned as true and questchecker said nope, lol. So I’m having to do this quest line to obtain the Bound Shadehound Mount. So far over a week of farming the stygia dust and slivers and less than 25% done.

The chain and related hidden quest were added in shadowlands patch 9.0.2 on November 17th, 2020. The last update for quest checker is October 30th, 2020, so likely does not include any quest data from 9.0.2 and onwards.
