So, I just wanted to say… I think I actually like the new void elf skins better than an actual high elf race.
Now, I KNOW most people would prefer the actual high elf race, but the thing is, if they introduced high elves, 99% chance they would not be able to be warlocks… which sucks for me. With just a skin tone for void elf, I get to keep my Half elf warlock fantasy
It does suck for people who wanted high elf paladins though, hopefully something about that is done in the future.
(Commentary): They should give Void Elves Druids, Shamans, and Paladins. High Elves and Wildhammers have been close friends, and High Elves have worked well with Night Elves in the past, and High Elves also have Paladins. Blood Elves really don’t need anything more. They’ve got Demon Hunters. I’d only support Blood Elves getting Druids if Void Elves got to be Demon Hunters.
People finally get the customization they want and now i’m seeing threads about people already wanting to change the ren’dorei theme to something less voidy.
Some people chose this race because it was the closest to High Elf. I like being a void elf, but I don’t begrudge those people. Let them have fun and play what they want
No, I get it you can totally play what you want but asking them to change the whole concept of the race just so it can be more high elfy is bordering on absurd.
It just seems like people will never be happy until they have the official title “high elf”
I would probably race change my shaman if Blood elf shamans were available, druid would be trickier cause they would have to design all their differing forms but I have always and will always be an advocate of more player choice in how they play the game, especially since those two classes as Blood elves doesn’t hurt anyone else in any way, I say bring them on.
Time to start making new lore anyway and training new generations in different arts to match their allies.
Void Elf paladins too, since Undead holy priests are a thing. And as far as I can tell undead and void aversion to light is somewhat comparable.
