Here’s the real question, though- what hero talent setup, and what was their actual usage of TG?
Fel-scarred, of course. Most of top VDHs are chinese guys, and most of their runs end with 50+ TGs.

Again, I genuinely just want the OP to consider and evaluate how much they’re using TG versus how much they actually need to use it. I certainly didn’t imply they’re a terrible player or got carried, merely that score and point metrics for dungeons rarely boil down to the contribution of exclusively one player.
I think everybody could stand to improve from log review and analyzing their gameplay in hindsight to make mental adjustments for future gameplay. Lot of literal peak level players record themselves with GCD trackers for exactly that purpose, to look at their decision-making relative to their given moment-to-moment situations.
(I asked because technically at the top end, to my knowledge there is a defensive use case for Reaver)
The OP’s attitude was a bit edgy as this class represents. But I just don’t like how people jump on bullying him because of a hideous guy with his bs analysis and insults without a constructive nor respectful comment.

I don’t disagree in that sense, nothing productive happened for over half of this thread as a result.
tg is used to engage so your not effected by sigil bug in keys. that being said. using tg 100 times in a single key is still 34 gcds wasted which is alot of damage

- One top VDH cast 66 TGs, the other cast 14 TGs, who is wrong, who is right ? Are you telling me he wasted 52 gcds ? What is the correct number of TGs that a good VDH is allowed to use in Ara ? Just because you see someone using a certain number of spells so you think it’s the correct one ?

ideally you only cast tg to pull things then never again. theres not resource issue or anything to warrent using TG for felscarred. so the person using tg 66 times in the log you found is 100% in the wrong and mis using globals.
ar theres more of a arguement? cause hey mistakes happen and tg becomes a rotation button after it gets empowered by reaver.
the person who casted tg 14 times would be better. but ultimately i dont know unless i see some logs.

i mean i can direct you to the felhammer discord, every theorycrafter there has done 11’s and above this expansion. alot of them actively help andy naowh and tjuan as well.
if thats not enough, you can ask tjuan as well since ive helped him multiple times in dragonflight.
ofcourse this means nothing, cause i only do 6’s in probably the worst season of m+ or insert some lame excuse not to ask in felhammer.

im not going to spend any more time trying to help people who clearly dont want to be helped cause “muh io” cause surely this season is totally fun to play and push with the likes of mists or NW or grimbutthole in the key rotation

because there is no EXACT number you absolute dent. tg cast is dependent on your route and how you pull things. you even noted this in your own findings with one guy having 66 tg casts and another having 14 casts.
the fact is, tg sucks as a button, does 0 damage, generates no threat, and is only used to pull things so you dont have the sigil bug. so ofcourse obviously you want to press the button that takes a global that does 0 damage the least amount of times you can.

if your kiting long enough to warrent more tg casts then idk what to tell you. also no, alot of highest key tanks dont kite as much as your implying. it exists yes but not in the volumn as your suggesting
