“bruh,” maybe they should learn how to post threads better and delete them if they screw up.
Don’t be ridiculous. Clearly the kindly dracthyr with that tinfoil hat knows more than the game developers about said game.
They didn’t screw up, it was showing the 3/6/12 requirement for a time on PTR.
It was later confirmed in this thread that it wasn’t an intended change, the veracity of which is irrelevant since they also confirmed it wouldn’t be going up either way.
There’s a button at the bottom of the scroll bar on the right that will take you directly to posts from staff and MVPs if they’ve posted in the thread, which should help avoiding any similar confusion or irritation in the future.
oh god please no. delves are so boring I cant even bother finishing 2 on my alts just for chance at loot and the coins to convert into runed crests. if its 3 i wont ever set foot in them again.
You didn’t have to necro this.
If you look on the right there’s a button to jump to Blizzard’s post in this very thread.
This guy… He is the Guy who reads just the Title but never the Article on FB post but jumps to comment anyway.
How do we know this? Blizzard has already clearly replied and said this thread is UNTRUE. Yet he didnt see the Blue Blizzard logo because he read the title and jumped to comment without looking at the thread at all.
Im 99% sure he didnt look at the thread at all. He read just the title and commented. Im also 99% sure we will see 2-3 more people do the exact same thing. Only to delete their comment an hour later to save face.
Even more reason to not play them. From poorly inserted mechanics, to a cliff of risk vs reward at the 8th tier, they now add on the typical WoW magic sauce…crank up the grind to extend the small amount of content. Barf!
Whatever happened to an mvp named snowfox?
Have you considered reading?
Twelve
Delves
hells
bells
well duh, i saw 89 min read time and just left my thought and moved on. if it was real then adding more engagement could result in change. if its not real then it doesnt matter at all cuz nothing would happen.
Scroll 1 post above him and read my comment. Did I call it or did I call it?
Ding Ding we have a winner
No you didnt. You didnt look at the main post at all. If you did you would have seen the “Blue BLizzard Logo” on right right of the OP and clicked it. You would have then Saw the thread was Untrue. Only way to miss it is to not even glance at the OP at all. AKA Just read the title and comment. Doing this more often than not makes you look foolish.
FYI You can see the same blue Blizzard logo on the Left of the title before you even Open the thread.
Snowfox predates the MVP program getting revamped in 2018 and people applying for the new version under Bornak, Yithisens, etc. Snowfox voluntarily left the program as far as I know.
They were blunt, and often abrasive, but they usually did not actually break the forum rules. They were never in the “current” WoW Community MVP program. Even the current one is mothballed at this point and most don’t post. The active program seems to be the Community Council.
April 2018
Byucknah - Agamaggan
Crepe - Drenden
Cyouskin - Stormreaver
Dillon - Sargeras
Eldacar - Boulderfist
Kozzae - Doomhammer
Lull - Tichondrius
Mageski - Sargeras
Metrohaha - Firetree
Mirasol - Mannoroth
Neall - Medivh
Talbyy - Tichondrius
Xakopane - Dalaran
Xanlorash - Area 52
Zinrockin - Kel’Thuzad
Of those, one left voluntarily within the first months. Had life things going on. Some went to Blizzard as staff so left the program. Some just plain faded away on to other things. One was likely asked to leave…
I feel like this is accurate, and a good example of Snowfox being Snowfox, post MVP.
They should be changing the vault requirements. 2/4/8 for delve obviously does not match 1/4/8 for dungeons, but I don’t think 1/4/8 for dungeons makes sense to begin with. That’s 1 for the first slot, 3 more for the second slot, 4 more for the third slot. I’m all for the second and third slots taking increasingly more work, but that second slot shouldn’t be 3x as much effort as the first.
I’d like to see dungeon vault rewards at 1/3/6, and delves at 2/5/9 (but get rid of the delve key system because it kills motivation to unlock delve vault slots). Raid vault rewards at 2/4/6 is probably fine because the bosses get tougher.
I suspect that if they got rid of the key system, they’d accompany that change with reducing the chance for the bountiful coffer to drop an item from 100%, or implement some other form of rate limit.
The whole point of Coffer Keys is to incentivize Delvers to do world content, because the keys drop from Pinnacle Caches (and fragments from specific WQs) etc. That was the lesson Blizzard learned from Garrisons - that if you give people the opportunity to get all their goals done without setting foot in the open world, they will, so such incentives are needed.
Moreover, a lot of the people who complain about Coffer Keys are the same ones who would whine “why is nobody out in the world?? omg dead game!!!”
Yeah of course, or maybe they nerf the ilvl a bit so the reward matches the difficulty. But the reason I mentioned it in this thread is that it feels terrible to go for delve vault slots when you’re out of keys.
They’re more of a time-wasting chore required to get rewards from the content you actually want to do. Imagine if you had to do open-world content to be able to open the M+ chest or get loot from a raid boss…
Delves are the upper end of the world content progression. M+ and raiding are not.
