What needs to be done to make this raid soloable? Like what mechanics needs to be redone or be removed to make the raid solo friendly for solo mog runs and stuff? And other DF raids as well?
That usually happens after 2 expansions.
Same goes for the Legacy Loot to apply, allowing you to actually farm the transmogs.
I am simply asking what mechanics would need to be remade or removed to make it solo friendly when the time comes.
Two more expansions most likely.
I am not asking when. I am asking about the mechanics.
In two expansions the mechanics won’t matter.
You say that but it’s been way more than two expansions since Wrath and 'oll Yoggy can still one shot you.
Most of it is going to be the natural power scaling we’ll get next expansion.
Broodmother’s adds need to be changed to not heal, and the Razageth Intermission 1 might need something, not sure if there’s enough time for 1 person to kill all 6 adds.
Uh what???
I don’t think he could one shot you even in wrath
Wait until Midnight. Legacy rules kicks in with a one expansion gap. So DF raids will be easier to solo come Midnight. TWW raids will become easier to solo come The Last Titan. So on and so forth.
From the top of my head? Likely the:
- Dathea, Ascended – as going to each platform would be difficult when solo I’d imagine.
- Same with the Broodkeeper fight, to keep her separated from the dragons etc.
- Not to mention our wonderful MVP herself → Raszageth, as you also can’t be on two platforms @ the same time.
For Raszageth I suppose you could likely have maybe Kalecgos and Khadgar input onto the other plaforms to defeat the mobs set by set @ your own side’s completion? Similar to how the NPC ‘Arfus’ is put on Kel’Thuzad to tank the ads, so you can go into the phylactery without resetting boss / mechanics getting wonked.
I think the only boss(es) that would require changes are the following. Some of these would require hard mechanical changes, others can be done once you can pump out enough damage to phase or outright kill them before you wipe.
Broodkeeper Diurna from Vault of the Incarnates due how phase 1 works. Where you need to kite her around and use her staff to destroy the eggs. Adds get buffed whenever they are near her. As the buff makes them take less damage while giving them a passive heal that stacks.
Amalgamation Chamber, mainly for heroic and mythic due to the buff they get whenever they are near each other in phase 1. It might be possible to simply burn one down to 50% before the damage buff they get kills you in Midnight at different stages of the expansion.
Fyrakk with phase 2 due to the Heart of Amidrassil health bar for non-healing classes. You have an actual time limit to kill Fyrakk before you lose the healer check.
It might be possible to just ignore the platforms and kill her if you have the damage. She doesnt gain a damage reduction or anything like that while the adds are up. The thing that worries me is the tank mechanic. It might still be possible to get hit by it enough times that the debuff doesn’t get removed. Meaning you get knocked back further and further each time. To the point that you will fall off the platform and die.
During the first intermission, the big air elemental adds do nothing but a channel that does pulsing aoe damage. The additional adds only spawn when you remove the absorb shields on the big air elementals. And if you have done your platform, you can get to the other side via the phase 2 platform. The thing that you have to watch out for is the prison seal health bar. Once it hits 50% phase 2 begins regardless.
I think what the OP is asking for are bosses with mechanics that impede your abilities to solo them, regardless of your level. Like how Kel’thuzad would reset the moment you went into his phylactery in Sanctum of Domination. Or how non-healing classes struggled with doing Kael’thas in Castle Nathria if they didn’t bring things like TWW bandages.
The same thing that always happens that needs to be done. You have to wait too expansions. There are a few exceptions of people being overly tuned and really great at the game and being able to pull it off. But it’s always been a two expansion gap. Even mythic sepulcher took some effort. And that was Shadowlands.
The sanity mechanic.
