Two different characters, on different realms, both ret paladin, and I got the exact same vault loot options on both them, and all 3 were trinkets. I am seriously getting tired of trinkets this patch. I have had more trinket drops than anything else.

Same, it’s almost all trinkets, and almost all useless. It seems impossible this is all random, was this the intention?

It’s not just the vault. I was running low iLvl alts thru the Nightfall quests. Trinket, trinket, trinket…

I really wish you could have a little box you could checkmark before opening your vault that sets it as “transmog only mode”. This would prevent trinkets, rings, and necks from showing up and would be amazing for collectors.

They needed to remove S1 trinkets from delves entirely. Put them on the Undercoin vendor. Only have S2 trinkets drop in delves and GV.

Early on the random nature is fun. As we gear up it gets less enjoyable and I would prefer some more control. I’ve needed 2 slots for the past 5 vaults. Everything but those two has been available as a reward.

Last week 3 my vault items, I already had equipped or in bank because I got better on. 2 were cr@p trinkets.
What I was left with was a sidegrade. The slot machine is so depressing. I don’t wanna gamble anymore.

They utilize the lackof agency around bad RNG to stretch out subs and farm players for their sunk cost fallacy.
It’s trolling embedded into systems design to squeeze players for their play time. Usually what happens is people give up and then buy a loot funnel for a raid. Magically dinars have appeared with monetized design seemingly intended to give an official loot funnel if you buy a one time boost.
This game is ran like a f2p mobile game, where you either have to wait for bad drip feeds in a weekly login lootbox (vault) that are worthless, or you buy something from the store (tokens for boosting) to remain competitive with other players.

Not just the vault either. There’s been many times where I’ve run a bountiful and the small chest will have the blue version of a trinket then when I pop the bountiful chest it’ll be the epic version of the same trinket. It has happened way too many times for me to consider it a coincidence.

I wish there is some kind bad luck protection. Every time you don’t pick something you can pick a currency instead and then with that currency buy any item you want. Ofc scaled with difficulty you were doing.

You know… we could go back to how it was… with no vault at all. No chance for currency to use and get coins or stones, or anything. You get nothing, and you enjoy it.
Is that what you really want for everyone in game?

Thanks for reminding me. I didnt choose anything yet from the Vault. I decided to upgrade first some of my gear to 671 from 665. I even recrafted a 675 crafted gear to 681. I also accomplished the Weeklies too. Then when I look at this thread, I realized that I forgot something. I forgot the Vault.
The vault can’t fail if it gives you items.

Yea, I had another bust week. Each week I get only item slots for stuff I already have mythic in. I’ve been collecting sockets for when I get an item I can actually use.
Would be better than getting basically 0 options.

There is nothing you can buy on the store to beat RNG.
