Varsity Snax Strikes Again

The snax has strucken again, but this time the place that was struck was on Moon Guard. The snax created a guild on there got a total of 148k gold then fled the scene. I am not sure where the snax has went. Perhaps snax will come back to WrA to do what he always does. Be on the lookout for the Snax. And for those of you who have no idea what I’m on about, don’t donate to guilds you recently joined.

Okay thanks

What even…is this?

He’s created a guild on Wyrmrest, which as I understand is still in the planning stages of his scam.

It’s also sickly amusing that he only pulled the trigger over $150k, which is like…a single WoW token, if that.

So some dude goes around creating guilds then disbands them? What’s the name of the guild he has created that is still in the planning stages?

Honestly, he should do a cost analysis on his scam. 150k gold is like… Not much. Not worth a scam, unless it’s a quick payout.

Essentially. Typically the way he works is:

  1. Create a guild with some canon name - his current one is Blood Knight Guard, but they can be anything that sounds like some canon organization.
  2. Spam invite guildless people until he has hundreds of members.
  3. “Encourage” members to donate to the guild bank.
  4. Withdraw all money from the guild bank, disband the guild, and faction or realm transfer to cover your tracks.

If your first thought is “wait, Ursuola, isn’t changing factions or realms costing him a lot? Like, more than he’s getting from running these scams?” Then you’ve discovered the level of person that we’re dealing with here.

Wait…I was in blood knight guard…the GM said he had left which I am assuming is “Varsity Snax” so that might be outdated.

The snax has finished with that guild, his most recent work is that of The Goldshire Battallion where the 148k was taken. Me and others whom have been following him and taking screenshots in hopes of Blizzard seeing that the Snax is an actual problem are currently unaware of his current guild location now. If any of you have any info please tell us.

It’s not even a quick payout he would make way more gold by just actually farming, it takes so much time, so much interaction of trying to get people to donate that it’s funny. Then we come in and whisper people that are considering donating with the truth of what he is doing.

He sort of does this in waves. An armory search shows his character missing (https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/wyrmrest-accord/varsinax) and that guild under new management. I’d be interested in hearing the state of their guild bank.

Completely empty he then moved on to Goldshire Battallion. Now he’s probably in the scheming stage again.

Oh hey I was online on MG when it happened. They were talking about it in trade chat but I came in late. I knew exactly who it was when it happened. Sad to see he’s still going.

Honestly sounds like hes doing it under token price on purpose harder to track maybe? Or maybe blizz doesnt care unless it hits token prices since it could potentially interact with the token system

Blizzard doesn’t care as of right now, we’ve reported him before so what we’re doing is getting so much evidence that it is literally undeniable that this needs to stop.

I imagine there’s sort of two hangups there:

  1. Tracking down a pattern of scamming guilds and members is orders of magnitude more work than the average ticket, and I’m sure that GMs get judged on their tickets-per-hour,

  2. There’s almost certainly a prevailing attitude of “if you don’t trust the GM with that gold, then don’t put it in the guild bank.” It’s the same attitude they maintained with Master Loot groups for years, and they only changed that because the sheer volume of tickets regarding it made responding to all of them not worth it.

Yeah, reality is? Blizzard won’t do anything about it. It’s a total scam, and a bad one (seriously, I earn more gold in a week of fishing while watching YouTube true crime videos), but it’s such a bad scam with such a low turnover for such an overall low payout that the raw effort of looking into it makes it too much hassle to do anything about.

I’d rather just point and laugh. When your scam requires more effort for less reward than spending that same time doing vendor runs of Firelands trash? You’re just doing it wrong.

Good grief…what kinds of fish are you selling to make that much?

More like… Good grief, why do I watch so many true crime videos?

But really, voidfins.

EDIT: So really, it’s a mix. Today Stormrays. There’s a world quest in Storm Peaks to get the rare fish bait. I usually look for days where world quests have some kind of fish requirement, or cooked food with fish. Voidfins are a good standby when I don’t have any others, but I always keep other fishies up on the AH. And, it’s also over the course of a week. Today was 15k gold. Yesterday was just under 2k. But over the week, it’ll add up to ~150k.

That’s also on a couple different servers, keep in mind. I’m not the secret WRA fishmonger. No one server is really going to have the demand to suit making a lot of gold fishing.

Also, fish more in the Broken Islands. The rare baits sell decently, more for the Vrykul Ring and Queenfish amulet. Those are the ones you want when capping your Underlight Angler.

I do watch too much true crime tho.

And now this thread is about my fishing addiction.

Ding ding ding.

He’s been a plague on both factions and both servers for like… 3 years now?

He was on a warrior named Varsinax the other day. Someone pointed out that he had said he was done with WRA. He said he changed his mind.

I checked his twitter to see if he made a post about leaving and the twitter was deleted.
