Since 11/30 patch The character select screen doesn’t appear to be updating any more if a character gets mail. It does update if you had mail previously, with an Icon and then get your mail.
Previous to 11/30 I would get mail icons in game on the character I was playing for auction house mail sent to another character. Going and checking an empty mailbox would make it go away. This doesn’t seem to be happening anymore.
Mail box bugs are still happening. I will have the mail icon next to a character on the character selection screen indicating it has received mail. When I log on it also indicates there is new mail, however checking the mailbox, there is nothing.
And checking my mail doesnt make it go away. I have to log onto the toon, then off, then on again, which is a bit tedious.
This is only happened from some time after the new mail icon on the character screen was brought in.
this is still happening. /reload fixes it faster than relogging, which does also work. but this like is putting black tape over you car’s oil light and calling it good.
I’m having the same problem ever since the character selection screen added in the mail icon next to characters on the list. I’ll randomly get the mail icon on my minimap, I’ll check the mail, and there’s nothing there. It’s not the end of the world (of Warcraft) or anything, but it -is- a bit annoying.
