Sadly, Varian was disenchanted. Gul’dan probably put him on a piece of vellum and sold him on the Legion AH.

Varian got disintegrated by Fel, so according to lore, his soul no longer exists. But Blizzard doesn’t care much for their own lore anymore.

Question: Who is Varian’s Father? Was he disenchanted or anything like that? Maybe he could come back to save his grandson!
ive always interpreted it that way myself. Given metzen left blizzard at the same time, it also seemed like a way to make sure he’d never be uh…needed again like when an actor for a long running show dies. But then again Metzens back so who knows now.
