There should be a Vantus Rune you can use on any mob or even player. Yes, including PvP.
Same restrictions - they last a week, and you can’t change them once you use them. It might make heroics more interesting, but I imagine it could be of use for something like Arathi.

I mean…against players it wouldn’t be overly useful. “Imma Vantus rune billybob there!” And now you can’t rune against anything else, BUT Billybob.

Honestly, the vantus runes weren’t great regardless. Not enough of a boost to really matter all that much.
There are a lot of buffs and consumables I’m already not using.
Man someone must’ve ganked you real good…
Edit - Once upon a time, in the Cata days, archelogy was actually able to provide a group with certain buffs for heroics. It took a specific fragment thing and IIRC none of the buffs were all that particularly useful, but it was an option for those of us who actually did that content
I just thought that it would be good to have them for Other than Raid Bosses, and the amusement of being able to use them in PvP flowed naturally from there.
