I have so little to do in WoW that my current project is to craft a 636 alchemist stone trinket and only use it for transmutation. Anyone else doing vane things like this?
The only project I have in wow anymore is accumulating pets, mounts, toys, and transmogs. I’m so tired of the borrowed power nonsense and general design philosophy of “throw the expansion away when it’s done” that I seldom bother engaging in the other stuff beyond the bare minimum.
I’m devoted to collecting mechanical stuff.
…besides pvp mechanical stuff, i’m supposed to follow the first rule of robotics.
I am knocking out achievements for the SL meta and researching the BFA and DF ones. In between I am still leveling alts through the current expansion.
Oh and got side tracked farming the tier sets from the Vampire Castle, which was strangely easy.
I could be doing the max level campaign and unlocking the stone dwarf people, but I am just not in a rush.
Same here, no use investing all of my efforts into things that reset or become useless from one patch to the next. Best thing to do is focus on the only things that carry forward
I’m just waiting to get into SL on this character because it’s still broken for any new character that clicks the “skip the maw intro” option. There’s a lot I skipped there too, so it’s even more frustrating.
The “old” content is still so full of stuff to collect for me, that I just never have “I got nothing to do” in this game.
I push certain goals, then switch to others, rinse repeat.
I used to go ham on a single thing, with all my alts, but that caused burnout, so now I have different alts doing different things.
One of my paladins is currently, very slowly, finishing the Najz Meta.
My other Paladin is finishing the transmog farm in Siren Isle.
One warrior is Ventyr, living in Castle Nathria, finishing all the toys, pets, transmog of the Ventyr.
I have a rogue in Outland who checks for that ONE rare I have left to finish the Meta of killing all the rares in Outland.
I have a druid checking daily for the last howl to get the Legion cat/owl form.
Always got something cooking.
I have a list of them
–get all the class hall mounts from Legion (haven’t revisited that idea in two years)
–get the Scholomance unlock to old Naxx (haven’t worked on that since DF)
–build out my garrison (not since DF)
–make rare glyphs to sell in AH (here and there)
–I started checking acheives to see if any easy ones to knock out. I need to go buy the bag from Haris Pilton in Shattrath easy one.
Currently I’m grinding conquest to get my pvp weapon on as many of my alts as possible before S2. Lots of stuff always!
I think the closest thing I have to a vanity project is I’ve been slowly whittling away at all the delve achievements. I plan to get them all done while they are current like I did for torghast.
My vanity project is to use the Timewalking thing to level up all my alts so that I can pick an old raid each week, park them all in front of it and just farm transmog. I only just came back after a year abscence, so I missed the whole “you can now collect different armor types on everyone” thing, and it is still very new and exciting to me!!
Maybe I’ll get more mounts I won’t use, or pets I will forget I have, but my main goal is to collect more outfits I shall never transmog into!!
Yeah, I play WoW really chill these days. Pretty much all of those things.
Really looking forward to housing.
It happens to me every now-and-then, when all my goals are met.
Right now is such a case, just playing Classic HC, but really enjoyed 11.1 PTR so am waiting for it to reach Retail and I’m back online.
