Player resources

  • thottbot.com - March 31st, 2001 (originally a fan site for EverQuest, now redirects to wowhead)
  • wowhead.com - June 26th, 2006

Honorable mentions for player resources that came very late in Vanilla or early TBC but the launch dates are unknown:

  • elitistjerks.com (defunct, was the theorycraft and boss strategy website in Vanilla WoW, famous for banning people)
  • tankspot.com (defunct, kind of replaced elitistjerks, less banhappy)
  • mmo-champion.com (active)
