Vanilla was bad. Face it. Blizzard missed a huge opportunity to release better legacy servers during wrath

Oops I went onto the classic forums, meant to be on the general for—

Oh.

If I had to go back to being an immobile tree, I would never heal as a druid again.

What a new an interesting set of ideas on this subject.

You’re pretty funny but your commentary demonstrates your ignorance. EQ was the most popular MMO out at the time of WoW release. As a matter of fact, while thematically they used the RTS IP they based a lot of the systems off EQ. I mean, Jeff Kaplan. Rob Pardo. Ion Hazzikostas. These are all names that are connected to EQ. And I could go on but I think the point is sufficiently made. If you don’t understand why the comparison is being made you might want to do a simple google search and educate yourself.

But regarding EQ, at the peak it had about 550k concurrent players with about 3 million copies sold. But I think just basic wiki information says all that needs be said about it.

“It was the first commercially successful MMORPG to employ a 3D game engine, and its success was on an unprecedented scale. EverQuest has had a wide influence on subsequent releases within the market, and holds a very important position in the history of massively multiplayer online games.”

World of Warcraft released and built upon the success of EQ starting to mainstream MMO’s to the western market. Lineage 2, which was also in open beta right before WoW was didn’t build upon EQ’s successful penetration of the Western market because they kept with the design of a typical asian grind mmo.

But I understand you’re just trolling and aren’t going to actually discuss the topic so I’m not putting this here for you. You’re going to pop off a dumb one liner and hurr durr to yourself and that’ll be it.

it will be a different perspective than when vanilla was brand new. I ran WoW’s 10th anniversary MC event many times on multiple toons and the reaction of the people in those raids weren’t the same as in vanilla. It was net negative for the MC event. Most players today are used to modern raid instances.

id much rather play wrath servers

No they can’t. Hell even the catchup gear sucks compared to what I finished the pervious raid tier with.

my alts can and have gotten 390+ ilvl without even touching lfr nor mythic dungeons

This belongs in the classic discussion forum, but I really disagree, and I’m honestly sad that people like you can’t just live and let live. People enjoyed vanilla, and the fact that it’s a decade later doesn’t mean that they can’t -still- enjoy it.

You could have made a post about why you want Wrath legacy servers without attacking the people who are looking forward to vanilla.

And what a though provoking comment you provided. Thanks for stopping by.

False, as mentioned above.

Hey now don’t be so down on the masochists, I bet they’d love it if pong was re-released with the requirement that you pay 15.00 a month to betamax to get access to the online-only servers… heck blizz should require them to use dialup to connect.

Subjective opinions are false? That’s a new twist.

390+ is nothing. Good job catching up to last tier when everyone is 20 ilvls beyond that.

I love playing Pong! Are you gonna attack Mario Brothers next? I guess playing old games isn’t fashionable around these parts.

when the hell is 390+ “last tier” last time I checked last tier was 385 except when accounting for those lucky titanforges that you say are so rare.

You win!!!

While it might seem good to someone who doesn’t do difficult content 390 is garbage gear.

it is something obtained from above average content but the point is that it shouldn’t even be obtainable by this easy content.

Yes, and they can also be completely asinine, as yours was. Read above and see why.
