Don’t play on Swipemane. That is the old streamer server.
The Mankrik cluster has a fairer balance of everything, but swipers still swipe on that cluster too. Still, it’s PVE and there’s an abundance of Alliance casuals ready to dungeon and raid. Huge bonus if you’re willing to raid lead.

The last time I did Naxx on Alliance (before SoD release) we had a 6k payout w/o any big items dropping. That’s 240K gold if evenly split among 40 players, but the raid leader + tanks + healers all got bonuses so it was probably closer to 300K.
300K gold for a single raid of mediocre loot almost 2 years ago. You can not compete with that by playing the game legitimately. You either buy gold or you don’t get gear.
I would love to see GDKP get banned on Era, but given how Stormrend was handled, I’m not holding my breath.

That “answer” just pushes anyone who was interested in the game away. It has literally nothing to do with their concern. Their grievance is with how the game eventually gets and is when it isn’t fresh. Nothing to do with joining guilds or avoiding the community of rmt trashlords.

TL;DR your opinion of Era is based on outdated information; the gold buyers have moved to other games, and good riddance.
I am still in those discord servers. The payouts are even larger in 2024. And the guilds that were doing soft reserve in 2021-2022 switched to GDKP.

Payouts were bigger before SoD but they are growing again.
Why are you so anti-GDKP?
At this point it is basically DKP but spread across the entire server so we are like one big happy guild 
If gold buying / selling is the issue → we agree that those engaging in that activity should be banned.

Of course they are. Inflation will always happen when the gold sinks are less than the gold creation. Saying that GDKP payout growth equates to gold buying is nonsense. While RMT certainly exists, it seems to be much less prevalent in Era.

10x difference in price. You can not play the game normally and afford your raid consumables on Whitemane. You buy gold or you don’t raid.

Well then it’s obvious what most of the player base wants. Try the pve cluster if you want SR guilds.

It’s just the only way to keep up when prices for consumables skyrocket (because everyone is buying gold and they don’t care what things cost)

SoD banned GDKP, more people playing SoD than Whitemane. It’s definitely better for people who actually want to play the game.

SOD always had a much larger population than Era. They became closer in size after the GDKP ban.
…so, clearly people want to play the game without buying gold. Got it.

Yeah. More players playing means faster inflation. Again, this does not necessarily indicate the existence of RMT.

He’s delusional, plays SoD, does not play Era any more, and has no experience on Era Since Nov 2023 when he moved to SoD.
His entire premise is based on his personal failures in Era during the Gold buyer / bot invasion from May of 2023 till Nov of 2023.
