You need to ease your way in. Start with the barbershop, get them used to it and take it from there.
If it’s not Era, anything goes imo.

Idk man what harm could it do? Enchants in pvp? Maybe no enchant transmog? Idk
People have this really weird obsession with being able to tell what gear someone is wearing by looking at them. They also think that this obsession of theirs is more important that people being able to customize their character’s appearance in an rpg, which is comically narcissistic.

For SoD I’m fine with transmog added. Classic era had some of the ugliest gear lol. everyone looked like a rainbow lollipop. If they do, allow all gear types as a mog. white, green, and up.
Just leave era alone and fight the bots better.

I’ll have t agree with having transmog early as possible within the game cause I just want my chars to look common or normal without all the glitz or bling.

Watching Xaryu play barbarian on HC makes me wants transmogs too… the classic Andy’s ain’t about it tho and I get it.
I think a new approach is better… armor/weapon dye… you can make your gear match but people will still see the gear you are using.

I love it. Add 1 more tho, Classic Graphics and Cata Graphics, I’ve seen it on pservers, it’s an extremely simple process.
Barber shop, Transmog, toggle for retail graphics / classic graphics, we are already getting duel spec, and a mount / pet collection tab. Pretty much all i want from seasons of discovery. And the great thing is that this doesn’t affect the balance or socialization of the game at all!
Idk thats like a lot more to implement and i wouldn’t even use it
Edit: also you gotta think that if they implement cata graphics they might make new armor look more fitting for cata graphics and i really dont like that, it should stay lower poly and classical in new item appearance. Stylization wise of course
They discontinued it because of issues with clipping etc. They also said that it would no longer work after the new animations.
The season is basically Classic plus, which is all about changing things up. Transmog should be okay if it doesn’t affect Era & HC Era.

I agree, no cata graphics is preferable for me, they are already doing such a nice job with the few new items ive seen.
I wouldnt want them TO SPEND MORE MONEY AND TIME ON A HIGHER POLY COUNT WHEN LOW POLY LOOKS BETTER FOR CLASSIC ANYWAY. or something idk
