It seems like with the huge burst damage and huge stamina buffs that stamina is not nearly as valuable as maxing out your damage. What is an extra 200-300 stamina when you’re starting at 3k hp already? I’m finding that glass cannon ret is working way better for me to kill before being killed essentially.
I’m using the Badlands 24 str, 2 stam chestplate for instance in PvP and having zero issues surviving about as long as my fellow Ret Paladin guildie who has the 15 stamina chestplate from the spider boss in RFD.
Still planning to go full Plate Gear as much as possible though, not going to go leather tier like the guides recommend just because its a little extra damage.
EDIT: But yeah, at this point with Sheath of Light and Art of War, Strength and Crit are just too huge, even in PvP, to not prioritize over Stam. Wearing the Crit cloak from STV as well for instance instead of a cloak with stamina and other stats on it.
Probably not, I’m probably coping. We can maybe get up to like 40-45% melee dmg reduction with full plate armor, but its not necessarily worth it.
I just don’t want to aim for two-set leather tier and a bunch of other leather from Gnomer. I want to wear my plate armor and be happy.
Very Retail Mentality of me I know, but then I am a Wrath Baby so…
Besides, the leather bis gear that you’ll find on wowhead is really only parsing like 1% better than just wearing 3 set plate gear anyways. So I’m not going to stress it. If it was like a 20% increase on dps I might have to, but it’s not anything crazy.
