Gearing an alt. On a mission. Have tons of RNG in front of me for gear as is. Only gives Vet track gear. That’s all fine.
However, 5/9 of the ones I bought were duplicate slots. Why are these not purchasable by item slot like in shadowlands? Why are you letting something from shadowlands be better than current expansion and in DF? I get RNG is gonna RNG but this is catch up gear for an alt. Catch up, to speed up. Go faster. Throwing 1750 valorstones in the bin isn’t necessarily spring boarding me forward.
SL had many different limiters though. You needed rating in order to upgrade the pieces, meaning you needed the gear in order to do the dungeon in order to upgrade them. So you ended up with other gear in the end anyway. And only m+ gave you the valor to upgrade them in the first place. Hell I’m not even sure they could be upgraded in the first place.
In TWW, almost every source of max level gear is upgradable, you have crafting, you have warbound, you have valorstone and crests coming out of everything. Renown is account wide so there’s 3 veteran and 3 champion you can buy on alts, there are bountiful keys from those same renown for easy delves gear.
All i’m saying is, TWW is easier to gear in the early stages of endgame than Shadowlands was. By a long shot.
Shadowlands or not, this is bad regardless. It’s very much a respect player time thing. 4 Gloves is bad. 2 Belts is bad. The entire point is to jump start and get going into content that’s not insanely boring.
RNG will RNG. I got all of the trinkets from delves when season started, while still wearing a bunch of adventurer and low crafted gear. Going the opposite direction isn’t any better. You’re gonna run m+ and get champion gear before you know it anyway. All that veteran gear would have been wasted.
And repeating it isn’t actually helpful. You love the dopamine hits from gambling that’s fine, but don’t drag me into it.
That’s literally the point of catch up gear, to bypass start of season trash time. They milked us for a month before the actual season started. That was plenty.
It’s veteran 4/8 dude. You get those from weekly chest, renown, crafting, m0, BRD, etc. This game has never been this alt friendly to start your progression.

I want to bypass the dead zone of content where it’s boring and 100% from pre-season, yes. 565-590 ilvl = dead zone.

9 boxes and 6 vendor items is still one item short of a full ready to go gearset that skips all the preseason ilvl range even if you could target every slot.
