For me, valor has solved my issues with mythic plus. Great job on Blizzards part for implementing this and listening to community feedback concerning mythic +
Valor will be more useful and impactful in 9.1 as well.
I’m not sure it was unforeseen, but another benefit has been the willingness of more skilled and experienced players running lower keys (call it farming, carries, whatever) and helping those players.
Agreed. Pretty happy with the system overall, but I do wish we could use it on our old gear.
Having it for a full season will be great
Looks like the developers are out in full force!
I’ve already upgraded 2 pieces to 220. Still got 4 or 5 more to go.
I am just liking the fact that I unlocked the ability for my alts to all upgrade based upon my mains mythic+ progress. So my alt rogue can now work towards some 213 ilvl upgrades in my spare time.
Yeah because forcing the player base to do all mythic 15s only to get an item level less than someone who buys a pvp carry with gold is a success
For sure dude
So how many PVP carries are we buying to get the 2100+ rating again?
I bet the price is higher than buying 8 M+15 carries
This is a silly point
Couldn’t’ be bothered to come back. Waste of time in it’s current form. Should have catch up mechanic.
We are still in season 1 and all content is current…what are you catching up to?
I would actually say it’s a temporary solution. Once people hit their caps the low key boom will be over and the gearing will feel like crap again.
The real problem is that M+ just doesn’t drop high enough ilvl loot by default. The whole table needs to be moved up 3 ilvls so that there’s more of a gap between covenant gear and M+ gear.
7 should drop 203, 10 should drop 207, 14 210, and 15 213.
For sure. The cap goes up by 750 every week, but that will be covered by your high level vault runs
Catch up to season 1… in the middle of season 1, sound logic, you definitely know what the words “catch up” means.
This is true, I’ve been running lots of 2s and 3s for valor, though it is fun joining a 2 and putting your 15+ key in and seeing how long tell they notice.
If you have no issue buying a PvP carry, then you should have no issue buying a KSM carry.
For those of us willing to actually progress through the game, and not just pay our way through it… I’d call this a success.
Probably first pull when the undergeared tank turns into paste?
Ya, its definitely good for tanks that have an easy time getting groups and are at or near KSM.
It’s too bad it was designed in a way that woulda brought a broader benefit to the game because subs are gonna keep on bleeding like crazy.
Oh generally I’m the tank or healer for the run and I have enough gear to handle it.
You would be surprised how many groups make it to the first pride before anyone notices or asks what that big red guy is.
Of course, the benefit of more experienced players in 2s means entry level players have to run their own key, since the chance of being invited to even a +2 is really unlikely since any key holder will want to guarantee a +3 (or come as close to guaranteeing it as possible).
Just because something isn’t perfect doesn’t mean it’s not a success.
