I don’t get it, what specifically is so bad about them? The majority of the time I have too many to spend and when I am low on them it doesn’t take long to max out again.

Be capped on them for 10 days. Then use them all on 1 item and have no way to get more. 9 Valorstones for a few world quests, 30 at the end of a dungeon. Not ok. Joke system.

Flying through floating orbs for 2 valorstones is not what I would call “gameplay” either.
World Quest: Geothremal Gem Treatment - gives eight valorstones, for example.

There are usually plenty of world quests up for stones. I think every quest awards 8 or 9 and there are ones that stones are the main reward and you still get the bonus as well, so like 45 stones for one quest.
But yeah, I do agree that stones + crests are bad designs for upgrades. Once a piece starts requiring crests, the stone requirement should drop off.
Not sure if you’re trolling intentionally or not. That is a weekly world boss world quest. You are aware that I am able to see on the map the rewards they give, right? Not a single one gives more than 9.
They also reset every 3 days. Most of which I had already done while being capped on valorstones.
It’s an absolutely terrible system, please stop trying to defend how this is implemented and designed.

So yeah, where I had said that the world quests give 9 Valorstones, let me go back and change that - since the definition of what a suitable world quest would be - to "world quests give literally zero Valorstones. Man, I love this game. Semantics and being pedantic are my bread and butter.

I don’t think valorstones are that problematic, but I think if they raised the valorstone cap to like 5,000 I think a lot of these problems would disappear.

And there’s still a boatload of other ways to get Crests. Delves, dungeons, Awakening Machine, raids, M+, orbs, rares and the most lucrative… Siren Isle chests in the water.
I moved nothing. You’re the one claiming that WQs only give 9. You then tried to further a poor narrative by linking a WQ that isn’t even a Valorstone WQ.
I think they just need to put in a vendor to buy stuff to deplete them to earn more.
Just make it like Resonance Crystals. Don’t have a cap. Why have a cap? It doesn’t make sense.
I had no items that were worthy of being upgraded, so I didn’t use any Valorstones and was capped for god knows how long. Then when I do get an item worth upgrading, I use all the valor stones on 4/6 upgrades and can’t upgrade any other items for weeks.
Yeah I’m just going to put you on my ignore list. Have a good life under the bridge there.

I used all 2,000 of mine to upgrade my staff 4 times… so there’s that.
Don’t use them on anything below Hero level items. Unless you are capped, then use a few at a time until you’re capped again.
