Yes, the weekly cap is 1600.
However it keeps track of it, so say you start a new toon this week and get it to 85 this week, that new toon will also have this weeks current cap of 6400.

Ty for the info. I wish there wasn’t a cap/weekly limit so that people could run at their own pace. I liked getting geared up and helping others through dungeons and selling stuff I bought from vendors (and this edition the AH) with the marks. This kind of kills it for me since I’m taking the place of someone that needs the marks.
On a side note: It would be nice to have the obsidian frag purchases be account bound and single equip for alts.
