Necessary disclaimer for people who are very aggressive and hostile towards me and make ME FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND SCARE ME:
So I am a NEWER, maybe not a “NEW” player because that term seems to have some ridiculously high standard to achieve calling yourself “NEW”.
But as a NEWER player I’ve been very unhappy with the state of the game and I’ve struggled to log in. I’ve ditched even raiding recently with my guild and left my boyfriend who is an officer high and dry multiple times now telling him I’ll play something else while he plays this game.
I’m so sorry that the people who bought PAID PVP CARRIES FOR GEAR want to LITERALLY gatekeep being able to gearing in m+ for CASUAL PLAYERS LIKE MYSELF-- but incase you didn’t get the memo WoW’s health is pretty dodgy right now.
I literally came here for experience in m+ and heroic raids and even I don’t log in for raid night or do anything other than my weekly CHOREgast run and one high m+ key and LOG OFF.
(And honestly with how bad the loot drop rates are and the mythic+ mess why not just time a +14 key and log out for the week? I’m not exactly advancing my gear anyhow!!! NO LOSS! Just saved time.)
So now I see the Valor system come. For the first time in the 2 months this terrible “MEANINGFUL CHOICE” expansion with ridiculous smurf people and terribly unfun legendaries like beastmaster’s ridiculously unfun to use “soulforged” TORTURE legendary this was the first piece of good news to actually be released.
And then this first bit of good news provoking me to play is abruply dumped on by people.
I am so upset right now.
You LITERALLY have content creators (REMAINING UNNAMED TO FOLLOW TOS) that have LITERALLY BOUGHT PAID PVP CARRIES FOR GEAR.
LITERALLY.
AND YOU TELL ME VALOR POINTS ARE BAD FOR THE GAME?
-flips desk emoji-
GET OUT OF HERE WITH THAT. YOU LITERALLY HAVE STREAMERS BUYING PAID PVP CARRIES FOR GEAR. THAT IS A COMPLETE JOKE.
This is the best freaking change ANYONE who cares about the ACTUAL HEALTH of this GAMEEEEE should be HEAD OVER HEELS AT VALOR POINTS COMING. (remember it shouldn’t feel like a job and past 2 months it’s felt more like a chore/job than a GAME).
Preach himself went on his video about how unfun, buggy and disasterous his raid was and how HIS GUILD FELL APART BECAUSE OF MYTHIC RAIDING. And that man makes probably as much as a freaking doctor from this game. And even HE refuses to do mythic raid prog with a new guild-- as he said in HIS OWN VIDEO.
So not that!
Torghast? The most widely despised system mandatory weekly chore that has been put on blast nonstop since this expansion’s release?
Not that either!
M+ with terrible drop rates that are always subpar to gearing anywhere else? Almost every
Not there!
PvP that is FLOODED at even 1,200 rank (my rank) with people in 220+ item level gear and paid carries with paladins 100%-0%ing people in ONE GCD?
NOT THERE EITHER
WHERE IS THE FUN?
I’ve been looking! Can’t find it!
However I am currently happy with the game. I find reasons to log in and stay logged in that excite me and I’m having a blast. I don’t care about the meta or pushing hard content, I just do the content that is fun for me and ignore the rest.
What content is it then that keeps you logging in through the week?
You said twisting corridors, once you have your weekly clear what is it?
So because Peach doesn’t like progression mythic raiding, that means the while game is trash?
I understand how some people don’t like the current state of the game. You’re entitled to your opinion and it’s no more or less valid than anyone else.

I did all the twisting corridors and had an absolute blast running it with ransoms and friends (not as much solo I’ll admit). I don’t mind doing Torghast every week, getting powerful buffs is fun for me.
Just maybe tone it down with the “speaking for everyone” sentiment.
This post is about valor being healthy for the game rather than the blight some people are trying to say it is.
Nothing against people that love pet battles and transmog.
Cause for whatever reason the “old crust” of players or whatever they identify themselves as thinks that new players are somehow meant to be entertained by this rather than starkly turned off.
I can tell you with 100% certainty if I didn’t buy 6 month bundle I wouldn’t be here right now. I’ve reached my limit of patience with this game.
Mythic raiders personal identity is tied to their in game loot. When they see someone getting loot like them they get angry because then they don’t feel so special anymore.
This might have been said as a joke but I am genuinely starting to believe that is actually true. Which is absolutely disgusting that they’d damage the state of the game just for their own ego if it was true.
Again, trying to take it as a joke but with what I’ve read it’s starting to seem a lot less liek a joke and a lot more like “REALLY???”
Err lots of stuff? I like collecting (as my mount collection shows), I like doing quests (as my loremaster shows), I like reputation grinds (as my 100 exalted reps show). There is PLENTY to do in the world that doesn’t revolve around end game content or even necessarily current expansion if you don’t like that. It’s a game, go have fun. If you can’t find anything fun at the moment then go find another game.
I have no stake in this valor change, that wasn’t why I commented. I commented to show you that there are people who like the game for what it is, flaws and all.
It’s not a joke. If you’ve paid attention to the forums for the last few years you see them complaining about anyone getting lucky drops.
They wanted titanforging removed because rando would get a drop like pulling a winning lottery ticket. Now it’s gone. They wanted loot scarce because it makes them feel more special not getting the loot but by making sure no one else can get it.
