Is it possible to do this at max level or do we kill Yogg too fast to actually complete it?
Has anyone recently done it? Do you need to unequip gear?
I know I did it at max level on my Pally a couple years ago. I cant remember exactly how it goes. If you need to kill him slow, just get nekkid and use the toy sword if needed
Does the toy sword work on raid bosses? I wasn’t sure if I had to get naked or even possibly use rez sickness
I think the toy sword only works on gray-level mobs that aren’t elite, rare, or bosses (or players, obviously). That rules out basically anything inside of instances, but I think it’s disabled in instances anyway.
Whole body shrinker reduces damage i think along with making you tiny so maybe try that while not wearing armor.
Try removing all your gear, unlearning all your talents and autoattacking.
If that is still too much, try using the Whole-Body Shrinka.
If even that doesn’t work, you can maybe try using a Forbidden Flounder to lower your stats even more.
If none of that works, I honestly don’t know what you can do lol
It doesn’t take much effort. First off, you need to have 0 guardians ideally, which most people do anyway for the mount chance. After that, all you need to do is progress normally by entering the portal and killing the brain. Then in the final phase (immediately after killing the brain) you get a chat notification that goes something along the lines of “Yogg-Saron opens his mouth wide!” after his second Lunatic Gaze cast and you toss it in. The only thing you really need to do until then is face away from the boss until he gives you that notification. No damage required. After you throw your hammer in, just kill him and you’re done.

To save you some headache, legacy bosses take extra damage from you. Even if you lowered your stats to one, you’d melee for millions of damage.
You’ll need a friend to help.
Luckily for this boss, no damage is required during the phase that matters. Well, until you have to kill the boss to finish the process.
