Val’anyr priority?

So with Wrath around the corner, what is the community thinking on the leggo?

The mace is great on any healer, for sure.

It should go to Boomkin :grin:

It’s clearly a hunter weapon. That heal proc is amazing for beast masters with mend pet

I think it’s best for hpalas but they’re great for all healers

Hunter loot, other classes can get it after we get our mend pet build completed.

I always remember the priority being: H Paladin => R Druid => D Priest => whatever else.

H Paladin > Disc Priest > R Shaman > R Druid

That’s it. Let the descendents of the earthen keep their weapon.
Rest of y’all go find a board with a nail in it or something.

Horde shoukd only be able to use it while under the effects of ironboot flask

Horde R Sham in TBCC currently so I’m one of those looking for the board with a nail in it.

But our guild is giving prio to H Pal.

I’ll be a resto shaman, but I would realistically want to see it go to a holy pally or holy priest and just be happy with my eventual heroic Trauma

Disc priest seems like the worst candidate for valanyr

Hpal / Rdruid - both pretty equal, give to the more long standing member of the raid or better performer
Rsham
Hpriest
Disc

in that order going by effectiveness only

Holy priest you mean, disc if played properly really does not heal much at all, not enough to take advantage of the proc anyway. I would put it

H pal
Resto Druid, closely followed by R sham…
Holy priest
a distant last place - Disc.

H Pali > Resto Druid > Priest/Shaman

Hpal>=Resto druid=Resto shaman=Holy priest> Disc Priest.

Thays the priority our Disc Priest made for our raid team.

Disc priest are last by far. I hope you meant holy priests.

You need classes that do overhealing, not absorbs.

Also, the reasoning behind paladins getting it 1st is simply based on the numbers. When you consider the tooltip, based on amount healed/over heals/who gets healed (tanks mainly) it’s super strong because while proc’d it equates to ~10-12% shielding on both tanks(beacon)+residuals from HL glyph. If you’re giving it to any other spec first, I think it’s a mistake. Sure, it’s still strong on resto druid/sham and to a degree holy priests… but the best overall healer to prio is the holy paladin. I just hope we have enough time to farm shards for 2 of them, hard to do though!

Well, disc priest is definitely last on the priority list.

  1. Paladin
  2. Druid
  3. Holy Priest
  4. Shaman
  5. Disc Priest

But if you’re raid is in need of raid healing then you could probably give priority to one of the raid healers.

Holy paladin should have first priority.
