I need an another one for fist of fury and I’ll be very happy.

That skill animation kills windwalker monk for me…

Let me hit with my weapons multiple times

I think us losing jab was the beginning of “too many resources”

Been asking for a weapon anim glyph for practically almost 10 years now…
I’m glad we’re getting it but what in gods name took so long.

Anyone in alpha? I’m dying to see what this looks like.

Some people are saying that it’s going to bring back the blackout strike animation for BRM but that was blackout kick.

I may be alone in this, but I feel monks should only be able to use staffs and polearms. When I think of monks fighting, its always with a staff. I don’t think of them using swords like a samurai.

It would be awesome if most of the attack animations were based around staff usage.

As much as I would love a staff focus, diversity is nice. Keep in mind ninja turtles are a type of monk and they fight with different weapons and styles themselves.

If only tortollan were an allied race

I’m not sure of their lore, but maybe their name is more for advertising purposes. “Teenage mutant monk turtles” doesn’t have the same ring.

I’m all for diversity, I just think they’d look silly doing the fists of fury animation with a couple of swords/axes/maces. Fist weapons is one thing, but all the other melee weapons don’t fit the animations imo.

If they keep jab as it was, you do different animations for it depending on the type of weapon you have.

No they are type of Rogue aka Ninja = Sub-Rogue . Stealth, shadows, shuriken (ninja stars), and using weapons.

Tomato tomatoes.

Monks can use different weapons and them doing so keeps things funky fresh.

Apples and Oranges but if you didn’t grow up in martial arts, and come from America, I don’t expect anything more.

Has anyone seen it?

Both those have nothing to do with the fact of monks having differing fighting styles and potential use of weapons.

Outside of the fact that they both use a variety of weapons, monks and ninjas have nothing to do with each other.

For one thing, Splinter learned ninjitsu by watching his owner before he was murdered. He then taught it to the turtles. His owner was a ninja, not any sort of Sohei monk.

Then there’s the fact that Pandaria - and therefore, the monk class - is heavily inspired by China. Their monks practice kung fu, not ninjitsu.

I’m sure there’s a monk somewhere in China who is proficient with a weapon. Even if there wasn’t I’m sure one existed.

No one has said monks don’t use weapons. There’s plenty of weapon use in kung fu - it’s not all hand to hand. The issue is that you’re trying to conflate ninjas with monks - and they’re not the same.

No one said they only use them either. The ninja turtle example was just a minor example to the point of weapon use. I do not at all care about ninjas or monks or how y’all want to view them as the same thing or separate etc.

What in the world lol.

I don’t see it on the current beta, not on any vendors and its not craftable as inscription.
