Using these new forums as a returning sub

I’d like to make a post in my class forums and try to get some advice on things. Hell, sometimes I’d like to just post in general discussion but it seems like these forums are so broke that I’m probably never going to return here. Who has time to focus on being a forum goer to get these china socialist points in order to post here. It’s absolutely ludicrous. Can’t see what level or w/e I am and how much time I need to spend reading about topics that don’t interest me just to be able to post… FIX YOUR FORUMS!!!

Only that they seem to be working fine. What trouble are you having? If you just recently re-subscribed, you’ll want to log out of the forum and back in again. That will update the forum to know you have a subscription.

You’re Trust Level 1. Here’s a handy-dandy link.

If you want to see what’s required for each level, here’s another easy to read link (just scroll down a little for the trust level info):

Again, the forums are working fine.

The forums aren’t broken, Sapncrunch, and you should be able to post just fine. Keep in mind until you earn the appropriate trust levels some of what you can post (links, gifs, etc…) will be restricted but even at trust level 0 you can post.

If you can give us an idea of what the issue is, perhaps we can help.

Keep in mind, you must have an active account in order to post in the Community Discussion forums.

You seem to be able to post just fine, trust levels only mean that you can post things like links or gifs. It might not be allowing you to post outside of here if you only recently added a subscription, but that generally clears up quickly.

Don’t worry about it. Trust level isn’t really meaningful. I haven’t learned where to find it either, nor do I really know much about it, and I get on just fine. You probably just need to re-log, as others said.

Ok, so apparently I needed to log out and log back into the BNET on this site for it to register I had an active sub in order to post… That’s still a glitch that it doesn’t update automatically if your sub lapses and then you stay logged in and then re-sub… it stops you from posting.

So report it in WebSite Bug Reports forums.

I don’t know if I’d call it a glitch really. The system originally saw your account as un-subbed. As such it would make it so that you can only post in limited forums like Customer Support, Tech Support etc. To refresh that, a simple log-out and back in updates the system.

If I had a little advice to give, next time just be clear about the problem you’re having. That way we can provide advice more accurately and avoid the hyperbole

It isn’t so much that it doesn’t update automatically, it’s that it doesn’t necessarily update immediately upon resubscribing. I wouldn’t say that’s strictly a glitch, so much as a technical limitation in some way. That’s a lot of thinking that it has to do.

I’m just gonna come out and say it.

I love your name

Not really, more just how computers work. You know, like needing to restart a computer for updates to take effect.
