The fact that plunderstorm awards tender and the increase of items in it this month with the prices feels like they wanna goad you into doing plunderstorm.
I know the comments people are gonna say but I just… don’t feel like plunderstorm is for me.

I just bought a boatload of stuff. I have played exactly three matches in Plunderstorm before I quit. I have no Tender from there.
The number of items isn’t much higher and there are a bunch of singular items for 50ish or so Tender.
You aren’t supposed to buy everything from the Post every month. Or even close to everything. Everything rotates in and out. They aren’t going to continue to add a boatload of new stuff, that will trickle down and you’ll see more and more old stuff. There’s a lot of rotated items on there now.
Prices haven’t gone up, they fluctuate depending on the type of item. Mounts and pets have been different prices, but nothing has incrementally gone up every month, and each item is a fixed price that doesn’t change when it comes back around again. More items get added because people are capable of saving more and more Tender. So the system has to keep up to ensure there is always stuff people can’t buy.

I know i’m not suppose to be able to buy everything from it but the fact that there is a lot more this month leads me to believe they are doing it on purpose.
I usually go for the low price stuff but there are so many this go around I don’t have enough for them like I normally have for the 100 and under stuff.
I also regret buying that dang toy that cost 10 tender. Now I’m always short 10 tender.

Now imagine I, he who doesn’t even check into the Trading Post but maybe once every 2 months, feels about this whole scenario?

I agree. Plunderstorm isn’t for me either. If a game is good you don’t need to try to strongarm people into playing it. Enticing mass amounts of players that don’t like PvP into a game mode they hated is a huge part of the poor reception Plunderstorm received.

I had addressed this. But also keep in mind there are a lot of singular items split up for those who don’t want to buy entire ensembles.
Blizzard addressed this and stated there will be other items that may even this out.
Since it’s a PvE/PvP game mode, Plunderstorm should’ve had Bloody Coins and Marks of Honor on its reward path too.

I haven’t touched the Plunderstorm (or played much for months anyways). What am I missing in the Plunderstorm? Looks terrible to me and the Trading Post is garbage anyways too.

That’s fine, but interactivity between Plunderstorm and the Trading Post isn’t a bad thing. There is no nefarious plan or ill intent.

If by goad you mean incentivize, then yes, Blizzard is using the monthly rotation of the Trading Post to promote their limited time event.

if you play the game like at all, you do not need anymore trader’s tender than they already offer you.

Not nefarious or ill intent. Like being goaded to go out somewhere with the promise of one thing only to not enough the whole experience.
But that’s not to say there’s no plan at all. To sweeten the pot as much as they did, transmog, battle pets, mounts, traders tender. It’s clear they wanted as many people playing this as possible. It’s also possible that many similar things will show up on a premium battle pass at a later date that we have to pay for.
That’s not even mentioning the $50,000 event they did, with a number of those streamers being paid appearance fees just to show up.
I think it’s a safe bet blizzard has more plans for this than just a one off event for fun. There’s definitely a plan in place for this.

The number of posts on the plunderstorm forum is slowing to a trickle.
I’m guessing participation is also.
Wouldn’t be at all surprised if a new round of rewards shows up soon-ish to get the numbers back up.
It’s going to take more than cosmetics to get me to play a BR.
Imma need a full set of i600 gear and a token.

There are recolors of plunderstorm rewards on the trading post. That is exactly what people were asking for so they didn’t need to grind out plunderstorm. Now it’s apparently a bad thing?

none of those items are a recolor of plunderstorm gear. all that stuff is recolors of old island expedition gear which you can still buy on the ah.
