Slice and Dice triggers damaging effects, such as Fatebound Coins and Suffocating Darkness (Authority of the Depths weapon enchant DoT). If used while stealthed and targetting something, it will damage your target/break stealth. Really sucks during raids and M+ where you want your tank to engage first so you don’t get trucked by whatever it is you’re targetting.
Steps to reproduce (Fatebound Coin):
- Be fatebound rog, in stealth with 5+ combo points
- Target something
- Use Slice and Dice
- If a tails is rolled, stealth breaks and your target is engaged
Steps to reproduce (Suffocating Darkness):
- Be rog, in stealth with some combo points
- Have the Authority of the Depths enchant on your weapon(s)
- Target something
- Use Slice and Dice
Steps to reproduce (Touch of the Grave):
- Be undead rog, in stealth with some combo points
- Target something
- Use Slice and Dice
The more I test this, the more it seems like Slice and Dice is just triggering any passive damaging ability that can be triggered by spells/abilities. As an undead rog, using Slice and Dice triggered Touch of the Grave, which also engaged my target. Has Slice and Dice been re-classified as a damaging spell or something?
